If there's one place I love to go when I'm bored, it's the public library. Does anyone else share with me in the joy of the library? It seems a lot of people around here do, because the parking lot is always full, and it's always busy inside.

Not only is there more books and magazines than I could ever read, there's actually an amazing selection of DVDs and CDs. There's also computers / wifi access.

And with the ability to place holds online, combined with the self checkout, it's easy to get almost anything.

Our library doesn't have a whole lot of places to chill out or work, but if you can get a spot, it's a nice place to hang out and read.

I spend more time at the library than pretty much anywhere else outside of home. I just love it. My university library's awesome too, I found a copy of "Annie On My Mind" there, which I've been looking for since I was fourteen and have never been able to find.

There's self checkout? My local libraries are either too small or outdated.

I browse libraries/bookstores/comic stores when I have nothing to do. I wish I oculd read faster so I could get through more stuff. :frowning2: There's simply too much to take in.

I have nothing but love for the library. It has been a solace for this prefessed book geek for years. I am planning on working there this summer if I dont get my lifeguard job, so excited!

This rather odd-looking collection of buildings is actually only one building - the Denver Public Library. I'm there quite a bit.

I go to the library once in a while. When I am on the road and I need to check my email or do work on my laptop I will stop by a library.

I'm quite often in a library too. During my last two years of high school I volunteered in the school library.

The library near me is laaame.
Actually, my friend and I refer to it as the lame library.
Also, I hate the library because I can't keep the books.

I like going to random resturaunts and staying for hours instead.

I just had to do an assignment for my 'math for teachers' class which involved me reading little kid books that had math topics and making lesson plans for each book. I had to go to two local libraries to find books. It had been years since I'd been in either. The self check out is so awesome. I love the smell of libraries.

My library is where some of the Da Vinci code was filmed!

Nah, seriously I don't massively like it. Because everytime I go in, I am stressed and am studying loads ...

My town library is awesome, it has a great collection of books, sometimes I like to just chill there, but the school library is MY LIFE. Whenever I have to stay afterschool I chill there, comfy chairs, nice librarians, and a lot of interesting books, not to mention like 40 computers to use.

I actually love the library in the city I'm close to.
I live sort of in the middle of 3 big town/city/places (Don't know what category they're in XD) and I love one of them. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
It's huge, and has reeeally comfy chairs.

I also love the Chapters store in the same town, it's a giant bookstore with cushy chairs and couches everywhere. It's like a library...only you can buy things. And drink coffee.

I have spent weeks if not months of my life at University libraries, yet I've only taken books out for school purposes a hand full of times. Rather than scour the internet for authoritative sources, you can actually get it in dead tree form at the library. Imagine that! I have also used school library computers a lot.

The Public library is somewhere I tend to go to relax and for entertainment. I also went to the library a lot in the summer when I was younger. They had air conditioning, and reading programs.

They built a new library by us 7 years ago and it had the city's first self-check out. They have since added two more in our library, and some in libraries all across the city. And you pick your own reserved items out of the carts.

Our old library used to have 2-3 person checkouts and it was always a ridiculously long lineup because people ahead of you would be paying fines, etc. And the librarians always seemed slow. Using the self-checkout is quicker, and now there's rarely ever a line.

I have the Da Vinci code checked out of the library right now. Weird...
