My PFLAG chapter had a booth at Pride over the weekend. It was so much fun. We gave out approximately 400 "PFLAG Loves Me" stickers and talked with alot of people. A heterosexual family happened to stop by. A young man, his wife, and their baby. They signed up for our e-mail list and took stickers. The young father looked at his baby son and says "You are too young to know your sexual orientation, but whatever it is, it is FINE WITH US!" How cool is that? :eusa_clap
omg It is SOOO NICE to see straight people be so understanding, or at least accepting! Plus thats really cute
That's cool to here that there is more straight people who support gays. I bet one of them is related to a gay or had a friend who was gay though. I just can't see straight people having a reason to be supportive if they don't know anyone who is gay.
TeeBe ........... don't be jealous. Just know that all of you who live your lives openly and authentically are paving the way for future GLBT kids. Their lives will be much easier because you were honest and open!
Thank you so very much for that touching story...I does give me hope for the future(*hug*) :eusa_danc (!)
It also helps to have understanding and accepting parents like you Ms. Beckyg! Thank you so very much (&&&) :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Oh I dunno... some straight people are just really cool. I don't think everyone is by default bigoted.
