Hi :icon_bigg I graciously thank you for taking the time in entering this thread, courtesy of EmptyClosets.com!

I go by Enjel as you might have noticed, and I have a bit of a dilemma that is in need of your help which pertains to what exists and what does not exist.

Problem: Everyone has always known for decades that "The Magical, Rainbow Apple" is only told in fairy-tales until, one day, someone stumbled upon it by chance. Does this make "The Magical, Black, Cube Kiwi" exist too?

I'm looking forward to your votes

Once again, I thank you for entering and taking the time to read this thread. You are indeed, greatly appreciated

    It is called "a joke"

The magical black cube kiwi obviously does exist! Haven't you seen the pyramid inscriptions? The little side note on the declaration of independence? It's mysterious shape in the back of the Mona Lisa? Can't ignore the evidence dude.

I don't think so, don't see any causal relationship there. If you were to find a pear however, I would have to think again (I'm not so sure about that), but an apple is definitely a no. =)

Anyway, is this like Russell's Teapot? Or are you conducting a social experiment to determine how we think? *puts on tinfoil hat*

Ok  Hi, all :icon_bigg I apologize if it's in need of clarification, I don't mean to frustrate any of you or make anyone feel uncomfortable. And, no, I'm not conducting a social experiment to see how people think.

The problem is actually symbolic to something I've experienced in the past which left me gravely troubled.

I simply need outside opinions to better understand my issue.

    In other words ...

If something that was always thought to be fictitious were to spring into reality, does that make other fictitious ideas true?

I hope this allows all of you to better understand what I need assistance with.

I thank all of you for considering this thread  Once again, your time and thoughts are greatly appreciated!

    Be well always :smilewave

Okay  I'm sorry about my paranoia

My gut instinct says "not necessarily", so I think it depends on what it is that was discovered. I voted 'no' in your poll. If I was given decent evidence and proven wrong, then I would probably change my opinion

This cleaely exist because kiwi fruits are favores by the new world order and the illuminati symbolof a triangle is secretly a potato in disguise. Therefore, pizza was invented by Leonardo Da Vinci who was influenced and bred by aliens.

No, not necessarily. That simply doesn't have to follow, logically. It could follow when the other fictious ideas are related to the fictious idea though. For instance, if "there is a black horse with 20 eyes" turns out to be true, then obviously "there is a horse with 20 eyes" is true as well. On the other hand, we cannot state that the statement "there is an orange horse with 20 eyes" is true (it doesn't follow from the first one).

    Cheers,

    Quem

It's a matter of probability mostly...

Staying with your example: If the kiwi and the apple were told as parts of the same or related fairytales then the discovery of the apple would make it more likely that other parts of the story are also true ie. the kiwi.
If the two are completely unrelated however except for the fact that both are myths then proving the apple's existence has no impact on the probability of the kiwi existing as both are separate from each other.
In any case the existence of the apple does not mean that the kiwi is also real but it might change the likelihood of it being so.
