Default The lost remote thread!

Just a quickie!

I keep losing the remote for the DVD player and it's driving me crazy! So I wondered if, like me,any of you guys lose the remotes all the time?

I normally don't lose them. Worst case it might be on the kitchen counter.

Several makes including Philips used to have a feature where you press a button on the TV and the remote starts beeping.

Yes but they should make it possible to adapt on everything, the remote isn't the only thing I lose all the time.

A glasses locater would probably be more useful. The number of times I've seen mum put on her old glasses or sunglasses to look for her glasses.

I don't lose the remotes. My roomie puts them in his jacket pockets, because that's what he does with anything he's holding and doesn't have an immediate use for (including restaurant cutlery); then wanders off with them.

Over the years, excavation of his room has revealed remotes, phones, keys, my best headphones (broken in two...), most of my socks, lots of crockery, and on one memorable occasion my best friend's miniskirt.

Go ahead, make THAT beep

I used to lose the remote, but now I have a foolproof solution: I just don't ever watch TV anymore.

For some reason, this is ONE thing I never lose. It's not like it's always in the same place, but I can find it within 15 seconds of looking.

We have an adjustable bed, and there's a remote for raising and lowering the head and foot portions. (Each side of the bed - mine and his - adjusts with a separate remote.) For some reason, my partner tends to fall asleep with this remote in his hand, and the next morning, he can never find it anywhere. It's buried in the covers, or dropped on the floor.
