    TRIGONOMETRY.

    MEGA FAILBOAT.

Seriously, I don't want to find the sin curve. If y=4sin(x-2π), what's the amplitude? Well, of course it's four, the period is 2π and the phase shift is also 2π.

    WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?!

Anyone else in Trig/taken Trig that hated it (or loved it, for that matter)?

I'm taking trig currently and I don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.:icon_bigg
With that said, trig is the root of all evil.(!)

    Have you started graphing?
Cause that's basically what that is.

And for some reason, the unit circle is hard for me to memorize.
    And measuring in radian.
    Gaaaaaaaaaah.

(This should not be allowed for freshman, what the hell am I doing in College Algebra 2/Trig this year?!)

I cant do my 3 times tables yet

So in my world, trig does not even exist.

You are a lucky man, trig sucks.

I hated geometry too... It was so hard to remember like the 140 theorems we learned.

Also, my teacher is kind of epic. She's soooooo sarcastic. "Memorize the trig tables and you can have 1/6 of a point of extra credit!" (That's 10 pages of trig functions)

Im done with all math
    Trig fails.
So does calculus. Good luck tho. You must be good at math to be taking it as a freshmen

Not yet, but I suspect that's the next chapter for us.
And I don't even both with the unit circle, it's easy to figure out using 30/60/90 or the degree to radian formula. Might take longer to do on quizzes and tests, but takes a huge load off my brain.

    I took it last year.

by some miracle I passed with a C for the semester.

I hate any type of math, or science for that matter.

But in terms of hatred, Calculus > Trigonometry.

Well, I was good at math. 6th grade = Pre-Algebra, EASY. 7th grade, Algebra 1 = EASY. And then Geometry pissed me off, and now Trig is like MALKSJDFLKSDJFKJ. But technically, I can stop taking math after next year (if I stay at my school) and next year will be Math Analysis. But if I were to go to a public school, I've tecnically gotten three years worth of credits, and I could just not take math ever again.

Good thing I don't need it for what I want to do in life.

The unit circle's alright if you memorized the trig functions as y/r, x/r, y/x, etc. But if you memorized them as... SOH-CAH-TOA, you're screwed. I always just write out everything, the 30/60/90 triangles, 45/45/90 triangles, unit circle, All Students Take Calculus (way to konw what's positive in each quadrant, if you hadn't heard of it), etc. I write out EVERYTHING.

Linear and angular velocity was really rough for me last chapter... :frowning2:

Ahahahaha, SOHCOATOA, who needs that pos anymore? ._.
I did memorize the trig functions, there's no way around that.

Hahaha my horrendous Algebra 1 teacher, Mr. Watts taught me that. He taught math in POWER POINTS he was so bad. And his finals were MULTIPLE CHOICE.

    But it stuck.

I'm taking it this year... I'm on Polar Graphing and I really don't like or comprehend the objective of it.

Everything before this was kinda fun... I'm thinking about retaking trig next year.

Yeah. I hate it. It was the only thing I was stressing out about on my math finaly in January. It was the only thing keeping me from graduating with an advanced regents diploma. Thankfully I passed.

I think it's because there were no LOG questions. I couldn't remember how to do those for the life of me, even though they're quite simple.

I lovvvvvved "Find the tangent of an angle in a triangle where the sides are like 3,4,5" Bahahahah that was great, but once it got difficult... Gah.

SOH-CAH-TOA!!!!!!!!!!!! Lmao, thats how I learned everything in like 2004 lol. Wow I dont think I could do any of that stuff anymore if I tried. I surprisingly got an A in geometry and a B in trig.

I have no idea how to do those... I totally forgot. I LOVED MATRICES. But technically, that was the College Alg 2 part. Those were soo easy and it looked like you were creating a new code, which is pretty awesome.
