    Good afternoon!
This post is intended to see the different philosophical and/or religious communities represented on this forum. To start, I am a Deist. Put simply, Deist believe in a God that created the Universe and is present in it but does not interact with it. This means we reject Divine Revelation, the Trinity, Jesus' divinity and other Christian/revealed teachings. Reason is the basis of faith. Some Deists pray because this puts them in a state of reverence and thanksgiving. Deists encourage discussions relating to God and faith. Examples include Benjamin Franklin*, Thomas Paine, Thomas Hobbes and others.

I'm agnostic. I don't lean towards being an atheist or a theist either.

I did this a different times. Buddhism never stuck though.

Agnostic, I guess. I don't really think about it. Although, once when I was in college and doing a research paper on Judaism, I stumbled across my great-grandmother's maiden name on a list of traditional Jewish names. I asked my Grandma if we were Jewish and she said maybe, and I decided that was good enough for me. If anyone asks that's what I tell them.

I call myself a Christian, though I have had my doubts lately. There's been a few things happen in my life that have led me to believe in some higher power, but I wouldn't necessarily agree that the God that most religious people believe in is that higher power. Its complicated, I could probably go on for hours trying to explain my beliefs.

Also, just in case anyone finds this a bit humorous, I'm writing this post while sitting in a youth ministry class.

Chaote/atheist. My life philosophy is similar enough to what you'd read in The Satanic Bible

Agnostic/atheist. Raised as a Catholic, but I suppose I got fed up of my "faith" failing me again and again.

Absurdist, which entails atheism. A lot of it is consistent with existentialism, especially the notion that existence precedes essence. I reject the certainty much of secular humanism relies upon (effectively, a belief that perfect moral codes can exist) and certainly reject Nihilism as corrosive and foul.

Accepting the absurdity of existence while also not resigning to despondency is a bit like hedging your bets. You get to acknowledge doubt about whether inherent meaning exists, accept that you'll never find a single moment of truth in which a worldview is shown to be correct, while still creating a sense of meaning as an individual and as a member of a society.
