For me, Blue October in general is a band with so many songs that speak to me and help me on so many levels. Specifically Fear, Bleed Out, Hate Me, and Home.

Two of my favorite go-to songs is "Keep Your Eyes Open" by NEEDTOBREATHE and "This Is The Moment" from the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde musical.

I won't lie. It will sound strange but the Undertale OST really helps me out when the existentialism hits hard. Not sure why but it keeps me grounded.

One that's really been helping lately is "Finally Free" by Stitched Up Heart.

"Coming Down" by Five Finger Death Punch
    "The Clincher" by Chevelle
"Ready to Fall" by Rise Against
"Learn to Fly" by Foo Fighters

WOOOO BOYYY THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG LIST
    -
Ginger - The Front Bottoms ("This is my body, the only thing that I own entirely")

    The Greatest - Sia

    Shine - Lolo

Ain't No Man - The Avett Brothers (this song keeps me alive it's so good I swear go listen to it)

Plastic Flowers - The Front Bottoms

I Think You're Really Beautiful - Starry Cat (This song helped me cope with the last year of my life)

True Trans Soul Rebel - Against Me! (of course, what would this list be without this song? Other than the fact that I love Against Me with all my heart and soul this is a song about trans survival so of course it helped me)

Your Graduation - Modern Baseball (Again, another song that helped me cope with the last year or so)

Transgender Dysphoria Blues - Against Me! (Another song by Against Me about trans resilience)

Re-Do - Modern Baseball (I relate to the first few lines of this song so much, "I want a complete re-do, maybe change my name")

Re-Done - Modern Baseball (this song is about being salty about ur ex which is something I definitely am)

    FUCKMYLIFE666 - Against Me!

Be Nice to Me - The Front Bottoms ("You say I'm changing, sorry I didn't know I had to stay the same")

We're The Cool Kids - Ryan Cassata

And recently this has been added to the list...
American Idiot - Green Day (I don't listen to much Green Day, but when I do it's directly after the worst US election in history in a fit of rage)

Honestly, don't remember songs as much as artists.

Justin Moore, Brett Eldridge, Chris Young, Carrie Underwood were definites on my recent playlist from the country genre.

Shinedown, James Blunt, Linkin Park have also been big influences.

I also listen to a ton of Israeli music but its not likely any of you guys will know these singers so I'll save some time and omit writing 'em down :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: (unless people really care lol)

Coldplay. Lots of Coldplay. Also soundtrack music, though I can't name just one track because I have a playlist with hundreds of songs from various artists.

Oh yeah, Twenty One Pilots is good, especially songs like Car Radio and Addict With A Pen. Their lyrics are brilliant.

"In My Room" by the Beach Boys. They have long been my favorite band and that is such a great slow/sad song with such perfect lyrics for someone trying to escape.

1234 (Unde dragoste nu e) by Delia is helping me at the minute. It's so nice to be able to just forget the things that have happened with music as an escapism method. Not forgetting:

How Many Fucks by Erika Jayne
Ain't My Fault by Zara Larsson
    Life Goes On by Fergie
Damn You by Lana Del Rey
One In A Million by Hilary Duff
    Ya Te Olvidé by Yuridia

    Scars are your Beautiful-Alessia Cara
    The Greatest-Sia
    Everlong-Foo Fighters

Literally all of Hybrid Theory and Metoria by Linkin Park got me through a lot

Cinderella Man-Enimem is one of those songs where I feel like I had enough and get through something I really don't want to do but I got to.

In fact, anything by the rapper gets me going.

Waves-Mr. Probs doesn't help as it does makes me unbottle my saddness. It helps me cry things out.

    some of the lyrics:

    Lyrics
    Regrets collect like old friends
Here to relive your darkest moments
I can see no way, I can see no way
And all of the ghouls come out to play
And every demon wants his pound of flesh
But I like to keep some things to myself
I like to keep my issues strong
It's always darkest before the dawn
And I've been a fool and I've been blind
I can never leave the past behind
I can see no way, I can see no way
I'm always dragging that horse around
Our love is pastured such a mournful sound
Tonight I'm gonna bury that horse in the ground
So I like to keep my issues strong
But it's always darkest before the dawn
Shake it out, shake it out,
Shake it out, shake it out, ooh whoa
Shake it out, shake it out,
Shake it out, shake it out, ooh whoa
And it's hard to dance with a devil on your back
So shake him off, oh whoa
