Going commando...is it bad?

This time of year I'll wear a pair of athletic shorts underneath my jeans just because it keeps you warmer down there.

It's not bad for you healthwise. It's more of a personal choice or etiquette thing, I suppose, depending on your situation.

In the military and especially in the desert, guys would often go commando and even shave their pubes because it was cooler and more hygenic - especially when you couldn't shower for weeks at a time.

Some guys just don't like the constriction of wearing underwear.

 

Right now it is 28F where I live. There would be icicles hanging off my snow globes if I went commando today

 

It's -10 F with the wind chill at the moment, so ya thermal insulated long under ware at the moment....

 

No, I don't think it is bad, though it could be a little awkward or inappropriate in certain situations. I'm not much of a commandant , but the one time I did walk around sans drawers was during a trip where I had not packed enough changes of underwear, so on the last day I was walking around town with nothing on but a pair of nylon shorts. I actually went to a restaurant dressed like that and I was very aware of the small amount of fabric separating my ass from the chair At least I didn't try and cross my legs...

 

Given current temperatures, I guess it depends if you have anything to freeze :lol:. Girls might fare better than guys since they don't have sensitive organs protected by a 1mm thick skin covering lol.

 

It depends on you. Going commando doesn't have any effects on health, it's about whether or not you think it's comfortable.

 

I go commando except when in uniform at work...polyester and bare bits don't get along!

Note: if you're ever in a medical emergency...I've seen plenty of pants cut away for access to injuries...a few commandos have been caught off guard lol

 

I don't think there's any bad things having to do with going commando, just a personal preference. I tried it once and didn't like it so I almost never go commando.

 

I think that there's nothing bad with this if you feel ok in that way I tried this style for once but it wasn't comfortable for me so I decided to stop :icon_bigg

 

I recently bought my first utility kilt, and I'm having these same concerns. People tell me to go commando, but I worry about incidents. Plus I bike a lot. Lol

I think I'm gonna wear briefs for now. At least until I get used to rocking the new kilt.

 

I don't personally, not because of health reasons, just had a bad experience with a zipper...

 

It's heaven, and I think it's healthier than wearing underwear that blocks your blood circulation.

I can't imagine it would pose any health risks unless they were too tight. Last think you want is for your underwear to be too tight and you end up with a case of ring worm! I've had this before, not with underwear but with tightly-fitted jeans. Not comfortable and doesn't look pleasant.

I've been wearing underwear ever since so whenever I have been commando in the past, I also felt very bare and if there was something missing (which is true I suppose). This is just a case of what you feel comfortable wearing.

It isn't bad....it's wonderful!!! I worked as a field service technician so I understand bundled up for warmth but when you get a moment to just be naked and by yourself it's wonderful to relax that way!!!!

 

It's great, just not the most convient thing for gym class (thank god it's cold so I can wear my joggers under my pants)

 

If I wear jeans (buttons not zip to avoid the previously mentioned issue of course) I usually go commando. The only health risks would be if you were s*****y person and didn't wash your jeans as often as you do your underwear.

I am also usually commando under motorbike trousers for comfort reasosn but after Gay Deputy's medical emergency comment I may rethink that one :eusa_doh:
