What is your opinion on dark humor/offensive jokes? I don't have an issue with it and often find it funny.

I love dark humor. I don't get offended easily. And to be honest, the funniest jokes are usually the offensive ones anyway. As long as no real harm is done to the butt of the joke, I don't care.

    I love dark humor.
Everyone has their own sense of humor. One person's sense of humor won't be for everyone, and that's pretty obvious. I think people should be able to joke about almost whatever they want in their own space. People who don't like their jokes can avoid that space. But humor is often a quick thing and shouldn't be too over-thought about.
I personally love jokes about death and controversial things. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I love dark humor, but I try to be conscious of the people around me. When I'm hanging out with the guys, it's the best, nothing is off limits. Around mom, eh...not so much

Dark humour is very hit and miss with me, sometimes it makes me chuckle a little- but generally it's not really my thing. Although then again people tend to tell me I don't have a sense of humour, since I tend to miss the point of jokes that my friends tell and I have a bit of a habit of over-analysing a joke too much and thinking too long on it, that when I finally get why others find it funny- the moment's gone.

Yeah..I can be a bit socially inept when it comes to these things, so I know with a lot of dark jokes I feel somewhat pressured to laugh to fit in really. My family says the same thing about me to, having no sense of humour, but I swear I do, it's just a rather odd one. (I quite like puns, and "awkward" humour, as well as some witty banter- gotta have some witty banter in there).

Good dark humor has to do more than shock or shout slurs. Dark humor challenges the limits of what we consider funny.

I'll admit I do sometimes find the shocking humor of a show like "Weeds" funny. On the last episode I saw, the daughter of Celia Hodes, a conceited and horribly selfish person (and terrible mother) indicated she wanted to be a model to which Celia responded "develop an eating disorder and we'll talk". I'll admit I laughed for the "oh no she didn't!" factor.

But this differs from the crack at Barron Trump, which outside of a fictional setting, was designed to be cruel. The SNL comedian deserved her suspension for making it.

I love dark humor, and it's sort of been a coping mechanism for me to deal with my shit. One of my favorite movies that utilizes dark humor is Man Bites Dog, if you want an idea.

However, sometimes it can go too far because some things just aren't funny no matter how you spin it; like rape, assault, and so on.

It depends on the situation and how well executed it is

I love dark and or politically incorrect humor as distinct form offensive jokes. I think the difference is in the intension of the person telling the joke. Most people will pick up the vibe. Offensive jokes will make every body feel uncomfortable, even if they think the people being offended are not present.

    It "depends."

Joking about rape and human trafficking, or terrorist execution of minorities for instance will thoroughly disgust me.

However, you start to poke at my own mental flaws and physical limits I'll sit right there and laugh with you. Something about my ten second memory or weak bone structure for example, it's not exactly harsh and it's a good way to lighten it up. Maybe how I blinded somebody for being too darn pale, or ask me for directions to area 51 since I apparently just crawled out of it.

The best kind of humour is always dark for me.

The only thing I will say is that when it becomes offensive it's okay if it's reasonable, but some people start to go overboard and it becomes way too much - to the point where it's just kind of messed up. Usually that doesn't happen though.

I'm a pretty terrible person, so I adore dark humor. Honestly dead baby jokes are some of my favorites. But, as I've seen quite a few people say, I'm also not alright with rape jokes.

I love morbid humor! :icon_twis I'll joke about pretty much anything depending on the crowd

When I'm amused by something, it's probably morbid or sexual

I think two of the best comedians are Jimmy Carr and LostPause (Noble)

I think it's funny. Obviously there's a time and a place, but I don't believe that anything should be fully off-limits.

I'm known among my peers to make dark humour jokes all the time. It's the only type of humour I'm able to do usually. I suppose that's because I usually come across as a serious person or something, so light-hearted humour doesn't work well for me.

On the other hand, offensive humour can often get people into trouble very quickly, so I tend to keep away from it most of the time.

As other people have said, with the exceptions of things like rape jokes, I love it.

I absolutely love it. I don't really get offended all that easily and I'm a pretty morbid person by nature so there's next to nothing that I don't find funny.
