I mainly do it because no one respects lesbians. When I do reveal my sexuality, people always treat me like I'm confused. So I sometimes pretend to be a straight girl and sometimes pretend to be a straight guy. It's actually pretty fun to be a straight guy.

No, if I'm talking to guys they're usually interested in me and I right away tell them I'm a lesbian. However, if I'm talking to a straight woman, I'm not as open about my sexuality. I'll usually not bring it up, but if they do I'll try to say "Oh, I'm a lesbian" or "I'm not into guys" I've had awkward experiences in the past when it comes to that situation that's why I'm more reserved about it with straight girls

I'm such a straight girl on the internet. Well, except for the part, where I'm researching about LGBT xD

But yeah, if someone looks into my internet history, they wouldn't find a clue that I was a lesbian. I'm not out on any social media etc.
I even research male actors (only because I liked their acting and I'm interested if they have any movies I could like xD ).

I usually do, because I'm scared, how people would react, if I told the truth.

I often look up makeup reviews, so I guess I seem like a straight girl as well.

Never. I don't really see the point. I don't bring attention to it, but I won't pretend I'm straight either.

I'll let people assume, but if questioned, won't say I am.

Pretty much everywhere except here. Especially places like youtube. People in the comments suck.

I don't really mention it either. I sometimes tell people I'm asexual if I'm on a site where I show my photo and straight guys act weird around me. I'm a tiny bit on the grey asexual spectrum, so I'm not entirely lying.

I tend to be very open when there's a layer of anonymity. I was talking to someone random a few years ago, and he mentioned his girlfriend - I said I had a boyfriend (I didn't, I just thought I'd like to see the reaction). It was fun to see what it would be like introducing a same-sex partner to a coworker for example - or any casual acquaintance.

On many sites, sexuality might not even come into play. If you don't want to mention it, then you don't have to, especially if there is no one in the picture. The site might be about something else.

I found it a little eye opening when there would be someone on Facebook that I knew for a long time, the person got married a long time ago and was still married, and it says Interested in Men and Women. A person starts thinking about what kind of situation they've got set up and I really didn't want to go down the path of thinking about their personal lives to that extent. If they want to provide that information, it's up to them.

I do about half the time. The other half of the time I use an account which cannot be connected to my name. This also means I end up creating multiple accounts for most websites and, essentially have two separate existences online.

Nope. I normally don't tell people I'm trans either though as well unless someone asks a question that might lead to such an answer, which hasn't really happened yet, but yeah.

No. I don't see the point of it. I have never been harassed or disrespected because I'm a lesbian either (but I'm not that active on the internet, so yeah).

Does not correcting people count? it's either a straight guy or a gay guy depending on the site. They always assume and I just don't correct anyone.
