So-I've been reading some of the LGBT related questions and a lot of the people
and responses seem really ignorant on homosexuality.

For example: A 13 y/o asking questions about his penis

someone replies: 13 is way too young to know if you're gay!

Or "What would you do if you had a gay son/daughter"

That one really hurt me, I think they were just posting to be hateful.
It also PISSED THE SHIT OUT OF ME.

annnyway:

I think EC needs to send a permanent legion to Yahoo! Answers.
Or we should at least send Yahoo! a letter and ask that they have
a moderator for the questions who is well-educated on the subject
(and could use emptyclosets as a reference for troubled teens).

Thoughts?

Wow. I'm amazed tbh that no one at Yahoo have done anything about it. End of the day Yahoo Answers is all about answers, not opinions. And even so, they gotta realise that some people are gonna be offended by that. You know if someone was saying something that flippant about race they'd be straight onto it.

I especially liked the way the top answer guy added the edit. "Nothing wrong with the gays, I like the gays, just refuse to let my son love with me anymore" - sure buddy!

I'm glad most answers to this one disapproved homophobia (sure, that's what they say on the Net which may differ from real life, but let's be positive). It's funny that the idiotic guy who posed the question picked the only anti-gay answer, giving as the reason 'Srry for the ppl that gave you thumbs down. ignorance'.

i only use yahoo answer to get " help" with my homework.

there are too many close minded people on the net for me to even bother reading the crap they have to say.

i comp agree with florino they really need to better mod ive done google searches and looked at the yahoo answers most of them seem to be written by 12 year olds..

they better moderators and Ec would be a great resource
