hi! i´m curious to know what you would like to read about in a lesbian fiction novel. which topics would draw your interest? there are some novels out there, but they seem to mainly circle around random romance stories without anything special. so I was wondering what would you like to read?

Are you going to write something? That would be cool.

I am not sure, but something that involves culture and traveling is interesting.

What kind of books have you read?

I already have some books "in production" so to say :icon_wink These mainly accrued from my ideas, meaning storylines that I enjoy reading and hoping others are also going to wanna read about.
but at the same time I´m looking for some new ideas that readers actually want to read about instead of me just doing what I want
maybe a romance novel about a woman falling in love with a female high roller and traveling the casinos together...

Nice ! I love writing myself and working very slowly on a couple of stories. And nice that you take feedback and use it for your next story.

The romance novel you described instantly takes me to Piper Chapman and Alex Vous from OITNB haha dont know why.

But yeah that is a good idea, lots of plots to unfold, gamble to much ? Get robbed ? get blamed for cheating ? Maybe they are cheating ? Or trying to gamble at a couple of exclusive gamble places to get into that one that you need an invite for. That is the main goal , the dream, the gamble temple...just rambling here

cool that you´re also writing, the world needs more stories! what are you writing about?

haha, well, there are far worse things than a comparison with OITNB, so thx for that

think with the casino story I would really like to focus on the different locations and how the couple explore them. in addition, it´s going to be a novella, so it will be more of a quick read than a real novel
any other ideas? every input is very welcome :icon_bigg

I would like to find a book where one of the girls is trans. There's not enough of us in romance novels, period.

Novella ? never heard of that ! On to the googles after I typed this. I write a fantasy myself and humorous stories. I also thinking about doing more in the mummy returns indiana jones kind of thing.

Okay well say some casino's , have an extra club, they overhear it perhaps and want to find it ? Like this casino is way better, more to bet, it is around that and that lake....

Or they need to bet at all different locations for a particular reason ? Like a tournament that takes people all over the world. Or just because they look for something, the ultimate game, the ultimate play chip. Whichever haha just adding brain tweets.

Maybe they get introduced somewhere at arrival by a peculiar interesting person. Whichever.

Now time to look up the word novella :icon_bigg

FANTASY! We need more LGBT fantasy books, there has definitely been an increase recently, but I would love a really complex and interesting fantasy world that also deals with LGBT themes.

You need to read "Of Fire and Stars" by Audrey Coulthurst.

You might enjoy "Hold Me" by Courtney Milan (I haven't read it but friends I trust say it's good), or a favourite read of mine last year was "If I Was Your Girl" by Meredith Russo.

Those are good starts, an I will check them out! Though I was specifically looking for a lesbian romance story with a trans girl.

I'm a big fan of lesbian erotica and romance. Regarding concrete ideas, why not a story set in the year 2319, on a spaceship. Haha, sorry if that's too stupid for you.

seems like fantasy and/or science fiction might be a genre to look into. tough one for me, as i´m not really familiar with these genres (yet) as i´m currently working in the genre of contemporary romance...
a story where one of the girls is trans, like clustergazelle suggested, would also be interesting.
any other topics/storylines that you would like to find in a book?

I would love to share some ideas as well however as an aspiring writer I guess I shouldn't however I agree that lesbian romances need to cover more sub genres.

Honestly, I'd be up for any topic as long as It isn't filled with harmful stereotypes (such as lesbian being killed, falling in love with a man, etc)

Dude, I've been wondering the same thing! I'm writing about two girls in high school who fall in love despite social boundaries but I don't know if that's been explored too much already or not. Basically the above is the story that I would enjoy reading, but that's probably not your writing style, besides I'm already working it out. I'd really love to see what other people put on here though!

Lets see... something less cliché, no "oh no I'm actually straight, the end", much more focus on love than random sex, character development, plot twists that are honestly not expected or done before, important stuff. Probably a lot of ideas the general public won't understand, but who cares?~

I tend to prefer sci-fi sorts of things myself, really into life beyond the only rock we know here. I certainly wouldn't mind a little something like a romance within a starship's crew... Or perhaps colonists going to another world, as being gay in lower populations can be problematic, though I generally like to think further into the future civilization will be more reasonable and won't hold such silly stigma.

There will always be a few crazies though, as there are still people who think being left handed is "demon possession" and our planet is a giant pancake monitored by invisible people. Maybe in the future we'll have less though. Maybe. It's probably lower than Drake's equation.

Plenty of things I think could make a good story, though I'm not the best when it comes to actually weaving those ideas together. I kind of want to get into comics someday... so the things I can't explain, I can illustrate.

The only other thing I would add is that I find most lesbian romances too short

Maybe something kind of chick-flicky, or maybe one of those badass fantasy/sci-fi novels.
