There is an opportunity for me to go to a college in Florida, though I hesitate because I don't know how friendly they are toward LGBT. Specifically I wanted to know about transgender related policies or healthcare.

From your knowledge or experience, how is Florida with LGBT rights?

Are we talking about schools in Northern Florida or Southern Florida? Southern Florida is one of the best spots you can live in.....typically people here are very open minded and heck we have a Gayborhood in Ft Lauderdale. (Wilton Manors). Northern Florida...maybe not so much unless you live in Orlando.

It's hard to go wrong with any college in terms of acceptance. Legally speaking we're probably not the best state, but I think the social reaction will be just fine.
