    Hey everyone,

I was wondering, what's everyone's hobby or hobbies? And how'd you get interested in it/them?

Mine are video games, art, and Native American crafts. I was a huge gamer early on because it helped me not focus on my dysphoria. Later on being able to make a female character and live through them in RPGs was a godsend. Same thing with my art. I could get lost in drawing a piece all day and have something positive when I was finished. The Native American crafting I learned through my Grandfather. I wanted to keep our traditions alive, so he showed me how to loom, bead, and do a ton of other things. ^_^

My hobbies are writing, listening to music, watching videos on youtube, surfing the web, going through different internet forums, reading, and watching some TV. These are pretty much all my hobbies.

I got interested in writing because I just love the general idea of self-expression. I feel enjoyment just from getting my thoughts out. I can't explain it that well.

I'm a big music addict. I just love music. Music adds so much meaning to my life. I love hip-hop/rap, R&B, soul, pop, top 40, classical, ambient, and meditation music. There are probably more genres that I like to listen to.

I got interested in youtube because I just love watching videos. I love watching all kinds of videos on youtube. I love rant videos, tutorials, advice videos, vlogs (video blogs), news videos, top 10s, and music.

I love to read just because reading can open your eyes. It can expand your mind. I love to read because I love to get into other people's minds.

Video games and writing. I won't go on a tangent this time, but you can quote me if you have questions.

I like to dance, listen to music and learn new languages!

I love to learn new choreographies and then perform them at conventions. (I actually got into dancing when I was 12 because I liked to pretend that I was a singer on stage! XD)

I like to listent to j-pop and k-pop, and my favourite band is Perfume. <3

As for languages, I have been learning German for 5 years, and Japanese for 3 years.

My hobbies are writing, playing video games, drawing, singing, and dancing.

I usually write about my OCs and go into more detail about their backstories.

For video games I love Pokemon, Sonic the Hedgehog (the old ones not the new ones but I don't mind Sonic Colors), Splatoon, 1bitheart, and Overwatch.

I've been drawing since I was in elementary. I started taking drawing more seriously when I was in middle school as it was a way for me to release stress. I'm happy with my art style and I'm always looking for ways to improve.

I sing mostly pop but I plan on practicing on an oldies song from any era. I used to sing Katy Perry and Taylor Swift but I don't really like singing their songs mostly because I can't really sing soprano. I can sing in alto and I've mostly been singing Sam Smith, Ed Sheeren, and Shawn Mendes.

I mostly just free style but I wouldn't mind learning how to do a choreographed dance (you know ones with steps if that makes sense?)

Writing, astronomy, urban exploring (haven't done it in years), video games, looking for new artists, and researching the weird and macabre.

    ____

Writing came about for me twelve years ago. I forgot what story it was I read online, but it got me to write out a slew of crappy self-insert stories until I worked my way up the ladder. Around that point too was went I fell in love with movies, and I was really interested in the idea of becoming a filmmaker. If I had the resources I have now, I probably would have worked on bringing some of my script concepts to life.

    ---

With astronomy, I've always been passionate about science as a kid. Chemistry, biology, physics, all of that; pretty impressive for a six year old. I had one of those star chart lights as a kid, and the fondest memories from my elementary school years were our trips to the planetarium at our local junior high. I partially credit my love of the subject to a period I have of intense spirituality when I was in high school, and why I describe myself as being a pantheist.

    ---

Urban exploring came up when I was in high school. I believe it was before I'd go on midnight runs to a local TB ward with some friends though, and I made it a point to go traveling across the state with my peers to check out some iconic places. I don't have a car or many friends I still talk to, so my expeditions to check out new places are on hold.

    ---

My relation with video games are like almost everyone elses. Got my first console at seven, and I was hooked on them since--especially learning about the history of gaming and the rarest/weirdest ones out there.

    ---

With musicians, I have an interesting range of tastes; like Nirvana, Within Temptation, Paramore, Macabre, and a bunch of others that I could go on for hours talking about. Literally, my playlists on shuffle could go from something like Fall Out Boy to Cattle Decapitation. Lately, I've been interested in treading the waters of the darkest and more extreme subgenres of metal and lesser known artists; like heavy metal groups from Svalbard and Greenland for example.

    ---

I've been drawn to the macabre and darker things in life since I was about eleven, which is the basis of all my art. I legitimately can't think of the last time I wrote something that didn't involve death or violence.

It ties a lot into when I was in my preteen and early teen years, when writing and film making more or less became a hobby idea to me and I was almost dead set on going to medical school to become a forensic pathologist or criminal psychologist. If I wasn't doing movie reviews for IMDb or mingling with horror fans; then I was doing a countless hours of research on serial criminals, cold cases, unexplained disappearances (like the Brandon Swanson and Kenny Veach cases), medical oddities, the existence of snuff films, extreme cinema, and stuff like that.

I'm still interested in these sort of things and is the foundation of my work as a writer and aspiring filmmaker. It can be a major eye brow raiser for people, but when I find someone who is into the same dark stuff I am, we can talk about stuff like the Spanish Inquisition or medieval torture methods for hours.

This sums up a few of my hobbies. I don't really play video games or take walks. But this was very interesting to read. I want to take more nature walks, or hikes.

My hobbies are road maps and pro wrestling. I collect and study road maps, and create my own fantasy roads and highways. As far as pro wrestling goes, I collect DVDs, create my own fantasy wrestling leagues, and comment on what's going on in wrestling.

Drawing, minor programming, block building, costuming... Really the activities where I'm allowed to get my thoughts and ideas on "paper".

I don't exactly have the best mediums but I'd sure love to become a professional someday. I'm awfully picky about what I draw though, so could be an issue.

Two of my main hobbies are collecting folding knives or listening to Extreme Metal

Two hobbies that come and go are playing video games or watching anime

Plus I try to develop new hobbies and I almost always get bored with them very quickly

Oh hell yeah, who are some of your favorite artists and are there any subgenres you just can't stand or get into? While I know it's a joke, I think pornogrind is too edgy and boring.
