So a few people who I'm out to have told me that they knew before I told them. Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, I'd like to hear about it.
Hey Wolfwing, I think many times people that say that are blowing smoke. Even if you exhibit some obvious stereotypically gay behavoirs/mannerisms, no one can KNOW that you are gay until/unless you tell them. When I Came Out, I had a couple of friends say that they didn't know, but weren't surprised, while others were completely surprised. And one friend said "yeah, I kinda knew." So I challenged him to tell me how he "kinda knew." He couldn't explain it, so, yeah, he was just trying to be clever. Blowing smoke. LOL! About the only people I would believe actually KNEW another person's sexuality before they Came Out would be parents - especially mothers. Sometimes parents know us better than we know ourselves, at least during our formative years.
Actually, no. My family was very shocked, and I'm not sure about my friends, but they didn't tell me "oh I knew" Which I think is odd because I think it's obvious that I'm gay.
Right now everyone i know just thinks am gay, they noticed i liked more feminine things etc. Not much of a shocker i guess.
I everyone I've told never saw it. That being said, a classmate of mine has continuously tried to get me to 'admit' I'm gay. She has pulled all these points up and says "how can you NOT be gay?" Brings up the fact that I've never had a girlfriend, hang out with my best friend(who is bi)all the time and many other things. She pulled this idea out of nowhere. Somewhat annoying, but I have a plan...
My stepmom said that she suspected because of my lack of interest in boys close to my age and in how "unfeminine" I was. It was kinda odd to me since few people really showed any interest in my crushes. I thought nobody would notice these "signs".
Yes, My aunt knew before anyone. She told my mom when I was 3. I don't kniw. I've been super gay since birth I guess
I had one cousin of mine (who also happens to be FtM trans) whose mother pinged me as transgender before I'd even 100% admitted that to myself. :roflmao: My cousin asked me "what pronouns/name do you prefer" in front of my siblings (who fortunately weren't even listening) and it took me a second to figure out what he was asking because I was still questioning. I ended up waiting until we were relatively alone before I explained it to him. The kicker is, this isn't even a cousin I see very much. The last time I saw him, he was still in his early teens. But his mother had me figured out before I'd even figured myself out. Was pretty funny, actually.
A few people have told me "You look like the type of person who'd be into both." ..I'm still not sure whether to take that with offense or not xD
No, but then again, I haven't told all too many people yet. Recently came out as bi to my brother, (thankfully we were alone in the house at the time) and we just started shouting My bro: REALLY? Me: REALLY! Back and forth for five-ish minutes
I don't talk openly about my orientation, but I tend to mention a lot that this or that guy is beautiful and I don't talk about women in the same way, so I guess it leaves people suspicious and now I'm pretty sure that if I told someone, they would say they knew it before. for this particular reason.
