Hey all Was just wondering how many vegans are on EC Personally have been vegetarian for most of my life and vegan more recently... Would love to hear some stories or whatever Peace
I'm not a vegan, but I am a vegetarian. My parents raised me that way, and I've never had any interest in deviating, though I do eat fish.
Not vegan (yet), but I am vegetarian and do eat vegan dishes a lot and intend to go full vegan at one point.
I'm a vegetarian, not a vegan, but it is something I'd consider. Then you're not a vegetarian at all, you're a pescetarian.
Hey there, I've been eating vegetarian for nearly two years, vegan for a couple of months but found it challenging where I share the cooking at my place. Hope to go vegan eventually though!
OMG Such a vegan army! lol Raise your hand if you've ever intentionally made a meat-eater uncomfortable
Hmmm... Not intentionally because I try not to be rude or one of those holier-than-thou vegetarians. Unintentionally, quite often. People always, with somewhat hushed voices, ask "So... Uh.. What made you stop eating meat?" I usually say that it is first for health reasons, and then for ethical reasons. By the way, what is your best response to the question "why are you a vegetarian/vegan?"
Because ever since I truly realised I was eating dead animals, I was disgusted by that thought. I don't want to eat another living being, especially not one that is treated the way animals are treated by us. I love animals so much, why would I eat them if I don't have to do it to survive? And we clearly can live without animal products nowadays. Besides, meat and other animal products are full of antibiotics and other unhealthy stuff a lot of people aren't aware of. Then it's also better for the environment. So all in all, for me there are way more reasons not to eat meat and animal products than there are to eat them.
Best answer to going vegan... I don't believe in killing when I don't have to. Haven't seen any vegan documentaries, unless you count youtubers
