I generally prefer to watch stuff alone because I'm pretty ADHDish. I might randomly pause what I'm watching, fidget and not fully pay attention and I just get bored easily. When I'm around people I feel forced to fully pay attention and not pause it. So it becomes like a chore for me. Except when it's comedy. I like to see how other people laugh.
Normally I like watching stuff aside from movies alone unless I purposely show whatever I watched to somebody else to either get their reaction or introduce them to some new show I think that person would like. I normally watch movies with a friend or two mainly because it forces me to sit down and watch it instead of getting distracted with other stuff on the internet when I try watching movies alone.
It depends on the thing. If it's with anime, I'm all for watching with friends if they can get behind the story. With horror or foreign films, I prefer to watch them alone; mostly because it's hard to find people who share my tastes, but when I do, they're my only exceptions.
DUUUUUDE SAME Also I like to be in control of what I watch. Also I don't need people knowing what I watch. It's my alone time. Also I just like being alone.
This. Even if it's a movie I absolutely love, I'll still end up doing something else while watching it. And I also can't stand when people talk through half the show/movie. I'm easily distracted, and if someone's talking, I can't pay attention. I always watch stuff alone if I can help it.
I only like watching horror films with other people, cause their reactions are the best. But other stuff I prefer to watch alone, also for the pause reason stated above. My mind is always all over the place.
It depends. Sometimes I really want to discuss what I'm watching with someone, but I also feel like there is less immersion when you are watching it with someone else. And then other people can be annoying, some of them keep talking through important scenes or fall asleep and start snoring and what not.
Usually by myself. Although on Mondays, my family watches a show every week together, I start on the couch, but end up on the floor(as usual)
For me, it depends on the show/movie that I'm watching. I prefer to watch certain shows alone, and others with other people. I like watching TV together with others on Saturday (and sometimes Sunday) nights, but if I miss it than I can happily watch it later on my own when I get the chance. I know for some TV shows, they just feel better when I watch them with others, especially if it's some kind of comedy/ talent show/ light drama that doesn't have a heavy plot to it. However, if I know that someone may not like a TV show or film that I'm watching (but I do like that film or TV show) then it kind of ruins it for me- I end up spending that time thinking about what they may not like about it, and picking up on all the faults it has that I wouldn't have even thought about if they weren't in the room, even if they don't say anything I can usually tell when someone dislikes a film/TV show, and it send my mind into a ton of questions as to why they aren't enjoying it, what could be improved about the content, whether or not it's actually a good film/ show or whether I just have bad taste in media...ect. TL;DR- I usually prefer to watch stuff alone, but sometimes I like to watch stuff together.
It depends what I'm watching. Usually I like to watch funny shows or movies with other people and anything else by myself.
I definitely prefer to watch anime alone But otherwise I generally don't care either way It can be fun to watch really bad horror films and mock them with other people
I definitely enjoy watching comedy with people that appreciate sarcasm otherwise its not fun at all. I love sarcastic and contextual humor and find it exhausting to have to pause and keep explaining. So my answer is, it depends
I'd say I like to watch stuff with people. I'm currently in the middle of multiple shows that I watch with my friends. I have a slew of friends that I watch stuff with, it's a lot of fun.
Depends on what it is. It doesn't really matter to me as well. I mean, I like to talk shit about TV shows and movies and having someone there like a lover and they can hear my commentary would be nice lol. But whatever. If I'm watching it by myself, then whatever.
