Band geeks can't have all the fun, can they? We vocalists don't need any special tools to make music .

So, I'm a baritone. I lovelovelove singing. I used to be in band, but I can sing 100X better than I can play the trumpet (I could never do the lip buzzing thing). I'm doing conference NYSSMA at the end of the month, I'm kind of nervous. If you're not from New York: 1) you're lame, jkjk 2) NYSSMA is a music evaluation thingy for your voice. It's pretty much all-state.

So post your name and your range (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, contralto, counter-tenor, mezzo-soprano, etc.) and whatever you want to put, mkay?

    P.S. yay singers!

Eh, that's good enough, lol. Your sig got "Let's Dance To Joy Division" stuck in my head. I love that song. I listen to it when I'm sad, it always makes me smile.

I dunno, we were just playing badly and couldn't be bothered to tweak it. We will do it though, I'm pretty sure .

i sing in a choir at my college for a scholarship, and i sing bass baritone and tenor 2 depending on how many parts the song has. let me tell you, switching between clefs during a song is a pain. but its the most interesting part/s

Awesome. I know what you mean about the clef changes. I was never a fan of singing tenor, I usually lean towards bass on SATB pieces. They have funner parts.

you crazy? bass parts are the most boring parts in the world, all they get is root progressions and walking bass lines. and its always a hum or a doo or a la or something while everyone else gets words. i spent all of high school trying to get to the baritone/tenor 2 part lol

Wooo, choirs. Love em. I'm a soprano. Anything below a middle C starts getting really hard. I'm hoping to take my RSCM Gold award in the next year or two. Every now and then I madly think I'll try for a choral scholarship at uni, but I know in practice that I'm not good enough for that. But, it's fun, that's the main thing!

I like singing, but I'm kind of a terrible singer. I sing bass in the choir at school, but I despise the director and, to be honest, the only thing I like about being in choir these days is the five or so hot guys.

I'm currently in band, but I'm getting tired of marching, so I will be in choir next year. Hope it's fun.
