Oh my sweet jesus, I was about to make this thread.

Today I'm going out to buy a craptastic load of Post-It notes. I'll prolly just act casual on Mother's Day, but on Monday morning I'm going to wake up early and stick post-its all over my mom's room telling her how much I love her. Then she can wake up to that surprise while I'm at school.

Oh, I was SO AWESOME this mothers day!!!
I bought my mom 4 vocals & piano sheet music pieces, most from the 40's or 50's with really cool graphics on the front. my mom loves those.
also, I made her a mix CD, which she also loves.
and I sent it to her a week early, to be sure it got there on time.
    YAY!!!!!!

I sent her gift early. She is on a diet so I sent her a bouquet of fruits that are shaped in the form of flowers. (Brownie points filled to the max.)

I got my mom... cheese utensils? It sounds kind of lame, but my mom loves cheese and I thought it was a little break from the usual flower bouquets. I think I'll write her a little something as well.

We took my mom out to eat today.(We had to make it for a day that we could all be there.) I never know what to get her, aside from a card. So,she was watching QVC and she saw a steam cleaner she wanted,so I bought it for her.

I won't be able to go home to see my mum until next weekend, so I'm holding it until then, but I'm planning to do some baking.

I have three "mothers" in my life. My real mother, I sent her flowers. My General Manager at work I burned her a couple CDs she's been wanting and my best friends mother I bought her a candle.

It's only Mother's Day in America... I hope. I think we've had ours already.

I got mine: "sleep tight" tea from T2 (she's got insomnia, and it's a really cool tea shop), some dark chocolate with macadamia nuts from Koko Black, and a strawberry slicer (she likes random kitchen gadgets)

When I called my mum today, one of my housemates insisted on saying hello. I think she was a bit taken aback - the guy is flamboyant - but he reassured her that he's taking care of me. I think she liked hearing that. I'm one of the babies of the household.

Update on my Post-It notes idea:

Yesterday I went and got Post-It notes. Some from the store, some from friends.

So far I have 1,200 colored notes and a stack of maybe 200~ white ones.

    :'D
