Airsofting is where you get BB guns, and run around fields, hills, or wherever, shooting each other in teams. Stings a tiny little bit, but infinitely preferable to actually killing and so on. And it doesn't hurt as much as paintball.

It's great fun, played my first game of it today. Tiring as hell, and hugely frustrating, but I think I'll have fun with it =]

    Anyone else do it?

I've always wanted to try it out.

Quick question: would you even feel it if you wore jeans and a rugged long-sleeved shirt?

I played it once, but I think we played to close to one another because it did hurt me.

I've done it once or twice. My BF is really into it.
    I've been looking into buying a CO2 handgun recently. We'll see. =3

Jeans and all, it will probably still hurt like a puppy's momma. =P I did it once in jeans and t-shirt and got welts on my legs. It was fun, though. It only stings for a second, and it's worth it.

Yes, you would. But it won't be too bad, in all fairness. I'd wear a jacket if I were you, and protect the vitals! Neck is an obvious one I think, mouth less so, but I'd hate to get a hit on the tooth. I'd wear a long scarf around the lower face if I were you.

Paintball ammo costs an absolute ton, though. We just don't have the money. BBs are cheapo.

Depends about the power of the gun, but really you shouldn't be shooting if you're within touching distance, and it's all about being considerate. If you've obviously got someone, we just say "Bang." and they take the hit, to save them the pain, and you the ammo.

It depends how powerful the gun is, too. The saw stings like crazy, while I hardly noticed the pistols a lot of the time.

Ah airsoft... A couple years ago at the family Christmas, one of the exchange gifts was an airsoft gun, and one of my crazier uncles ended up with it. Imagine an airsoft gun in the basement of a 900-square-foot house.

That worked out to be a painful evening. Luckily he ran out of ammo pretty quickly!

Absolutely not. It wasn't an airsoft game. It was one of my crazy uncles (there are actually several of those to choose from) with an airsoft gun.

Really part of the fun of it would involve knowing my family. It wasn't mean-spirited by any means, but it sure as hell hurt.

I shot myself at point-blank range in the knee with an airsoft gun.

    It was a 9mm, I believe
    THAT hurt...

I didn't realize it was loaded, in my defense.

As for airsoft guns though... I've got 2 9's and an automatic.
    I love them... so much.

Owww. Getting hit at distance can sting a fair bit, I can imagine you had a bit of a welt from that!
