In my area, it seems to be a stereotype that all of the lesbians here are Tegan and Sara fans. Don't get me wrong, I love their music, but I frequently get "Oh, you only like them because they're lesbians/hot."

I was wondering, does this seem to happen often, or is it just the losers near me? =P

EDIT: NVM I just knew they weren't lesbians with each other XD.

There's always stereotypes like that everywhere I think though.

Tegan originally came out as gay, and then Sara did a few years later.

Maybe you're thinking of T.A.T.U. suferdude? They got marketed as lesbians, even though they're totally not. :/ (EDIT: or, well, I dunno if that's what you were thinking at all. it's late and I can't read. BUT TATU ARE TOTALLY FAKE and they bug me even though I don't know why I brought them up? arglebargle incoherent tonight)

And... sadly I don't know any of the lesbians around here, so I can't really comment on the stereotype!
