I'm curious. Who has or had one or more? I always thought the idea of one was pretty cool but I never created one. :S

    anyone else? thoughts?

Yep, I sure did. Though usually I'd pretend I was in a cartoon I liked, and the other characters were my friends.

Not really. I'd sometimes "daydream" about having certain friends - either made-up ones, or ones from books or TV shows - as I tried to get to sleep each night, but I wouldn't "play with them" during the day or anything.

I had around five or six, but their names would constantly change. They would pretty much go around the world with me; we'd go on air planes, train tigers, be orphans. It was fun. =P

Well, I kinda did, but I would never play with them. I always go over situations from the day again in my head where so-and-so should have said this instead of this and then I would reply with something else. So they aren't completely imaginary...

I had an imaginary scottie dog, which each night I would feed from the imaginary fridge that sat in the corner of my room. I also took a large multicoloured elephant to school with me when I had exams, but he would sit outside because he was too big to fit through the door. (even imaginary giant multicoloured elephants use logic, apparently) :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I probably had more, but no more that I can recall at the moment.

I had an identical twin sister by the name of Billyanna (my parents did indeed think I was slightly addled :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) And as well as her I had a whole menagerie of wonderful friends; Bobey-in-a-cardboard-box, Dodey the parrot girl, Jimmy, Kevin, and Danny, to name but a few :'D

I actually made voices for all of them, and recorded all our adventures on cassette tapes in my room, it would keep me amused for hours. I have no idea where those tapes have got to now though, such a shame :frowning2:

I still remember the one when "all of us" were sitting around in our underwear eating pop pan crackers, and when we played a game of snuffball (rather tightly based on Quidditch), I remember one of the balls was called the Yeuch

    ....GOD I MISS BEING A CHILD :frowning2:

I had a whole pack of imaginary pet dogs, and yes indeed I did go out catching and taming them! I even made up food for them to eat.
I also had numerous imaginary friends, one of which I can remember who was called Polly, and another was called Josh, and there was Shelly and Clara and about ten others, and we all had great sleepovers and danced and sang along to Britney Spears.
    Ah the good old days....

ACOT: believe it or not imaginary friends are healthy outlets for children to use their imagination. They create their own problem solveing techniques and hypothesis which later help them as they get older.

Studies have shown that adults with parents who force them (who have had imaginary buddies) to stop imagining their friend have a harder time thinking outside the box and have a harder time problem solving.

Some children need them and some dont, but if you kids has one let them explore with it. As long as their buddy isnt telling them to burn down houses or do anything destructive, its perfectly healthy.

I had one, his dad was mean lol

I tried. I had an imaginary asian friend named Christopher. Basically I would think to him and back, no talking or pretending he was physically around. He didn't stick around for long, though.
