That bitch would have been on the floor if she said that to me. I don't care if she's a teacher or the pope.

 

My Latin teacher is a major homophobe, and none of the other teachers I have do anything to stop anti-gay comments no matter what their personal opinions are. I only ever had one lesbian teacher with whom I formed a sort of friendship - she had had tough times in high school herself and helped prepare me for the bullying ahead, but then I moved on out of 8th grade and never saw her again.

believe it or not teachers have to follow a strict set of rules and laws. the fact that your teacher said that could have got him in serious trouble, joking or not.

as for anything teachers have said to me, my creative writing teacher was a cunt about a gay story i wrote. she said didnt have a problem with gay relationships(bullshit) but could i please keep it out of my writing.

That really needs to be reported, it's an incredibly douchey thing to say. If it was a while ago, though, it might be tough. Is there anyone who was there who'd be willing to confirm what was said?

 

What a terrible thing for that teacher to say. Kidding or not, the teacher is there to teach, and not make a stupid comment like that. There are probably just as many so called "straight" people that are infected with aids (and probably don't even know it) adding to the aids problem. That teacher needs to get a clue, and some sensitivity training. What a douche bag. :***:

the worst thing is that it may of been a joke. if you are able to come out to a group of people you dont know if any of them are gay or not and are able to say that it says so much about you. its scary teachers are like this i agree with above what if someone was coming to terms with their sexuality in your class and they had to hear that i know if i was 15 confused scared that would shit me up
