should gays/lesbians be allowed to adopt?

one side: the child will not have a father/mother figure
other side: happens to people without gay/lesbian parents.

one side: the child will get picked on at school for having two dads/mums
other side: kids get picked on for most things, whats different about this?

whats your stance on the topic?
why do you disagree with the other side?

  2. I am for gay/lesbian adoption

One: as long as it is a loving, caring and providing family, the child will be healthy.
two: the world is heavily populated (mayeb overpopulated) and adopting would help children in need of love and caring. why not allow more people that can offer that to a child?!
If an adopted child is adopted by a gay/lesbian couple, some state that the child will grow up more depressed or unhealthy because they do not have the "normal" mommy and daddy....
that is society's problem. if they stop forcing the 'norms' and realize a family is a family. Children understand love, the rest is environmental teaching....
Love, Care, shelter, food, clothing, sanitation are the fundamentals of a family. id rather see myself and any other gay/lesbian (couple) have the chance to give a child a home than to see many children starve or be abused!
