My family's been in Texas for a pretty long time (both sides), but the countries that my ancestors either were kicked out of or said "Let's blow this popsicle stand" were as follows:

Scotland, Ireland, England, Germany, Austria, aaand Slovakia (back when it was Bohemia).

Basically, my family could only be whiter if it were actually composed of walking loaves of Wonderbread.

My ancestors were mainly from the Alsace-Lorraine region shared between Germany and France, but I have a little bit of Irish in me. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

My family's been in Australia for a really long time, I know at least one of my direct ancestors was a convict in the early 1800s. Before that, English, Norwegian, Scottish and German.

Most of my family is in the Tristate Metro Area (NYC, Long Island, New Jersey and such). I guess 2nd or 3rd Generation Americans. 100% Italian. Except for my Mother's father's side which comes from an area formerly known as Italy (call them anything but an Italian and they'll kick your face in) but is now part of Croatia. In Trieste. And on my Dad's side his mother's family is technically Sicilian which may or may not count as Italian, but it's all basically the same thing.

I'm nearly 100% French. My grand mother's great grand mother was Belgium, but that's the only abroad roots I have.

Well, my mom is half Irish and half German, that makes me a quarter Irish and a quarter German. My biological father I THINK is all English. He was just a sperm donor so I really don't know, I think my mom told me once. My legal father (who actually shouldn't be considered a father because I never see him nor did he ever pay child support) is Native American, Northern Arapaho to be exact. One good thing about him is that last semester I got a $1500 grant from his tribe for school. Yay free money!

My dad's family is all Scottish and from Glasgow I think. And my mum's family has been in Australia for quite a few generations, but they're originally from Scotland and Ireland and I think there's one French person about 5 generations back. My mum's side is also supposed related to Mary, Queen of Scots and Mary MacKillop. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Family origin tends to come up a lot on EC for some reason. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm 7th generation Australian, on both sides. My dads family, and ancestors, are all English free-settlers of the British aristocracy and some French aristocratic families from the First Fleet. My Mum ancestors, are Irish and Scotish upper class, French and English industrialists, settled in first fleet and early 1810's. Lol, snobby background indeed, but I learnt that it doesn't matter where you come from, but rather who you are.
