As with everything in college, it all depends on your professor and the course material. You can have an awesome professor for terribly boring subject matter. You can also have a professor who murders what you love about the subject you are studying. You should ask around the school to see who the students prefer or which courses provide subject matter you will enjoy. Nothing sucks more than hating a morning class in college.

Asking about subjects is pointless as they are broad. The more you learn about topics like psychology or philosophy, the more you realize how incredibly little you know. And one more...Hey! Wait a cotton-pickin' minute. You are only fifteen! How in the blazes are you going to college?

I think the definition of college ranges from country to country; according to Wikipedia, college in UK can mean a bridging education facility between school and university. In fact, my high school (Yr 7 - 12) was called a college

High school (as college is more commonly known here) is hell fun As you have indicated, you get a lot more control over your study and which subjects you do. However, with this freedom comes more independence. In my experience, teachers are less likely to chase you up for work and instead just assume you haven't done it. This means that you need to take more responsibility for your learning, which is a great deal easier if you are enjoying you subjects.

The most important thing for students is good time management skills. You need to have a schedule, be it loose or strict, and stick to it, otherwise work will pile up and you'll end up losing nights of sleep catching up. No joke. It happens. So definately do NOT leave things to the last minute

Also, make sure you keep social. No one likes to do only work, and it's much better for you to join a sports club, debating team or whatever takes your fancy, because you need something to break up the workload. Not saying that at 15 your workload is going to be massive, but it's always nice to have something else to go to when school is getting you down. Another thing about college is the parties start to get a whole lot more fun

Lastly, proofreading is a a greatly valued practice in any education facility, and you will quickly lose marks if the teacher thinks you don't take care with your writing.

Anyway, I really enjoyed high school/college and not in a nerdy, I love to learn way. It's a great way to make friends, have fun and get a good start in life....Oh god, now I sound like an infomercial

Yeah college in the UK is that last two years of school before university.

Your subjects seem good, and you can always swap them if you don't like studying them.

Definately include psych. Everything we do with others, business & social, involves psych. great minor or double major mtl. Have something else as your major, tho, as psyche majors seem to be a dime a dozen these days, at least in parts of the states. Good luck

Yes. Please make sure you spell 'college' correctly on your application forms.

This makes so much more sense now!! For my final 2 year subjects I'm doing
-English (compulsory in Australia)
-Mathematical methods (maths with a bunch of graphs)
-Specialist maths (abstract maths)
-Russian
-History (American and Russian revolutions)
-International Studies

Your choices seem quite good What are you interested in doing for uni? We do philosophy as well at my school, but only once a week. Be prepared to be confused

Collage IS actually a word...

Ever make one? It's where you get a bunch of pictures, etc and put them together XD

And davo, I noticed, but I just found it ironic in itself, that you made the mistake in that specific post XD
