My youngest daughter, myself, my son and his partner and my sons' partners mother are meeting up in Vegas August 17th through the 21st. My middle daughter will join us if she's still unemployed. We will see. Its going to be so fun! Just the gay guys and the girls. Can't beat that! lol No grouchy husbands!

Ooh have fun

and forget the saying "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Take lots of pictures and bring back souveniers (spelling?). If I went to Vegas I would bring back as much Vegas with me as I could. Even if that meant stuffing a body into my suitcase (like that movie). Just kidding.

My sister's friend was raised in Las Vegas. She told my sister if she went there to be careful when on the the commercial strip, where all the tourists go. She said there are A LOT of pickpocketers and robbers who know tourists are the easiest target, so be very careful!

Other than that, have fun, be responsible, and don't do anything you can't talk about when you get back home. LOL

It'll be bloody hot. I arrived there in June a few years ago - and it was 112DegF! It was good for a day or two - but the road trip around all the little backwoods towns, mountain biking and running, with my Nevadan buddy was much more fun.

True! The last time I was there it was 111 when we stepped off the plane. My brother got married at 9:00 pm outdoors and it was still 100 degrees. I plan on staying in the air conditioning. lol

Its fun now that all my kids are over 21. We don't have to leave anybody out when we do adult things.

If anybody in Las Vegas is interested in an EC meet-up let me know.

I also found out that two of my former neighbors who used to babysit my kids when they were little are going to be in Vegas the same week. I haven't seen them in forever so that will be fun too!

I went there last summer & it reached 130DegF. we saw someone who was walking it to a hotel and the wheels melted off of her luggage

EDIT: BTW it was 129DegF around midnight on that same day
