I was just wondering if anyone here was going to Gaydays this year
    at Disneyland.
I'm planning to go, and I think it would be great to go to something like this.

Haha, that reminds me. My family and I coincidently went to Dollywood on gay day. It was so funny because I wasn't out yet and they were like what the hell..lol. But sadly, no, I won't be going to Disneyland this year.

    Yah they do!
It's been something that I've been following for some time but never attended.
I want to go this year.

Jealous! Jealous jealous. I wish our theme parks around here did something like that. Then again, there seem to be enough people protesting it in LA, from what I've heard. I shudder to think what would happen if Six Flags over Texas had GayDays (haha, but it might help them out of bankruptcy! THINK ABOUT IT, SIX FLAGS!)

Um Disney doesnt sponsor gaydays. It just happends that a lot of lgbt people that end up in the vicinity of Disney the week of. It keeps Disney from having to take a side on lgbt issues. Disney doesnt fund it. We fund them.

I went as a kid like when I was 8 as well. I did notice everyone wearing red shirts but I went to gaydays at Disneyworld. Disney is fun none the less. Have fun

    Yah they don't fund it.
But they have been supportive of it. As I just got an
annual pass yesterday, it is highly likely I will be attending this year for the first time.

    What is a GayDay?

I mean i assume there are a bunch of gay people, but is it an event planed by the parks or do people just decide it?
    and what's the point?

It's a weekend event that is NOT planned or funded by the park.
But they have been increasingly supportive of it.
At the event everyone wears red. I'm not too sure what the point of it is.
But then what's the point of a pride parade?

Well a pride parade is a celebration of how far we've come and a chance for people to feel good about themselves. Also a chance to get free shit! =)

But a GayDay seems stupid if it's park funded, but seems great when it's just randomly done by a group of gays!
    haha weird standards, right?

Well then that would be one of the reasons to have a Gayday.
    =D
yah and it's very organized by gays.
The park has no funding towards it.
I really look forward to it.
You should look it up. It looks fun.

Disneyland? Ehh plane and park tickets cost money which I do not have.
I'd trade a hundred gaydays to get astroworld back.

Actually they have it in the first week of October, which is said to be one of the lesser crowded months.
And since I have an annual pass ( I live in Los Angeles which is a 20 minute drive)
I want to go this year.

Dolly Parton is really supportive of gays! And they all wore red shirts that said "I'm coming out for Dolly" lol. It was great to see all of them there.
