my cat, who i've had since i was three, passed away.
    her name was stormy.
    she was twelve years old.
it was quite sad, but she'd been having health problems for a while so we knew it was coming.
both my mom and i were crying all night.
i remember she used to treat me like her kitten, if she was away from me for too long she'd get nervous and start meowing while carrying one of my socks or something until she found me.
she also used to "wash" my hair for me haha, it was cute.
    i'm gonna miss her, alot.

    ha
we tried to bury her in the backyard but we couldn't dig a hole.
we're considering getting her cremated or finding someone to help us dig a hole.

this pictures from about two years ago, before she started having any problems

just thought i'd share that with everyone

I don't know how it feels to lose a pet since my mom and sister absolutely hate animals, but I hope you have a speedy recovery. At least she lived a happy life and will now never have to feel the pain again.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. At least you were lucky enough to have her as long as you did. (*hug*)

She was a gorgeous cat by the way.

It is really terrible when your pet dies. I'm sorry to hear about it.

On a practical note, I believe you should get her cremated. Burying her could lead to issues with powerlines or even wildlife coming to dig up your dearly departed. With cremation, not only do you get a sense of finality that can aid you with your mourning, you can also scatter her ashes to the wind. It's nice to think she has been taken back to the earth. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

;_; Aww that's so sad. *huggle*

And I agree with Numfarh, cremation is a much more practical than burying, unless you're putting your cat in a coffin or something.

I lost a kitty that I had had for more than 10 years about 2 years ago. It was rather sudden, I didn't even really know he'd been having health issues. He was my constant companion. So I can completely understand how you feel.

Animals to me are very special because they seem to be able to sense our moods and understand what's going on for us, to love us, to amuse us, and yes, to annoy us sometimes... so they are like any other good friend.

I still think about him fondly and have many wonderful memories. I'm sure you have many happy memories of your kitty to remember. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry. Your cat was beautiful. My cat's coming to the end of hs days, he's about 14 and he's had his share of scares in his time. I'm trying to prepare for losing him, but I don't know if you can really brace yourself for something like that. (*hug*)

(*hug*) I'm sorry, I just lost my cat too, and she was 24. It's not easy to lose something you've cared about for that long.
I know it sounds absurd, but maybe in a few months, or after some time, you could consider getting a new cat. Obviously it won't be the same, but it does fill the emptiness a little bit.
