It should really have been called gay pride event. I wasn't really up to it, I thought it was going to be wild and have a party atmosphere but it was really mellow. We did come at the beginning at it's still going on but we left to avoid the rain. The music was nice and the booths were festive. I never knew that there was so many gays and lesbians in my city! I was also surprised of the amount of straight couples there too. My fears of going to gay parades have subsided.
