Seeing as this stand up was in the 80s i presume it's been posted before.

But i'm too lazy to bump an old thread.

I personally was a bit disgusted.
The first time a homophobe has made me disgusted.
    I still laughed however.

Idk how to describe how that made me feel. It was like being funny in the way a killing orphans joke is funny in a very wrong way. And at the same time offended me a lot. I never did like eddie murphy....

    Laugh.
    It's just a stand-up act.
    I'm sure he's still a stand-up guy.

LOLGOODPUN. I just like Eddie Murphy too much.

It was in the 80's, his views could have changed.
Also it's stand up, it doesn't mean he actually hates gays.
Most people don't hate Helen Keller, yet jokes are made about her all the time.
I think this one video is too vague to pin him as homophobic.

Going to go out and a limb and say it didn't really offend me, I found it sorta funny.:icon_redf I know I shouldnt have done. But I think we need to remember when was 80's and the whole gay issue wasn't really at the for front of people minds, just took the mick out of it. So all I think he was doing was just getting some cheap laughts, and peoples views do change.

Well, some stuff he says is pretty offensive, but he really does make fun of everybody. I guess it's a fine line.

  10. Eh... I think the second one was a bit offensive. But both were funny, I hate to admit it.

I am not a huge fan of the man, but they are only jokes. I don't really enjoy comedians who do lots of "gay" jokes (although they are funnier if a gay comedian tells them), his are somewhat funny though.

IT's called stand up comedy, LOL. They are to make people laugh. that's it... Doesn't mean he's homophobic. I actually like Eddie Murphy, LOL.

Cause everyone knows that all comedians really hate the people they talk about in their standup, right?

Kathy Griffin makes fun of gay people all the time, but she's not homophobic.

Same. I really didn't want to laugh but the gay cop joke got me. 'Pull ova! Pull ova!'

It really depends on the comedian/entertainer. If they've been a long-standing supporter of gays, then their jokes would be considered humourous and real. If they've yet to comment about gay rights or are against the gay 'community', then it may not be so funny because we wouldn't know the intention of their jokes.

    I love you, Tim!

The second one was pretty lame; still not offended.
Not everything can be accepted at face value.

I saw both of these when they came out and I lmao! I like Eddie!
Like others have said,he's doing stand up comedy. I don't think he's truly homophobic.

p.s. Wasn't it Eddie who was busted for picking up a transexual woman a few years ago?
If I'm right, that's all the proof I need that he's okay with gay people!

The jokes themselves wouldn't bother me i thought they were funny than some of the more PC stuff you hear but i just couldn't stand how he used the word faggot like that. That's the only thing that bothered me.

  20. There is nothing about that video that isn't hilarious or accurate.
