hey so i'm thinking of getting side swept bangs for an emo/scene look (hopefully have the right terminology). unfortunately my mom would kill me if i got it colored so thats not an option. i have long dark brown (almost black hair) do you think it would be a good idea? and if so, any examples you think are cool?
I totally know the look you're going for, I personally love it on gals. I had it myself but I made a big mistake- I only described the look to my hairdresser and she didn't get what I was looking for at all. -.- I was looking for a much more choppier look. So I highly suggest that when you go, to bring along several photos of what you want. Also, do not attempt to do this yourself- you need the proper tools and whatnot to give your hair that certain look. I will get a bunch of photos for refrence as soon as I can, I'm on my itouch right now.
yayy thanks haha. and yeah as much as i like my hairdresser, i would rather bring photots JUST in case.
the scenesters died like 2 years ago here in LA>. and a couple of my friends would cut and dye their own scene hair.
Easy solution is to just see how it would look like, get it done, and if you don't like it just shave it or cut it short :3. I have... emo-ish hair, although the only reason for that is because i never bothered with a hair cut for a while, and then just switched to that afterwards since I kept getting told it looked better that way. So maybe you could grow your hair and then see how people react.
This hair is effing sexy (yet another of my Christian Siriano pics I'm going to post here ): Lord knows I keep trying to get my hair to look like that. No matter how many times I attack my hair with a straightener and hairspray I can't pull it off though. YET. I like emo/scene hair... if it's not overdone. Or too big. Some of those big frizzy ones are absolutely atrocious.
I think some people can really pull it off and make it look hot, defo looks better on girls in my opinion i have a semi emo fringe as my friends put it lol i dont think i do lol
r u serious!? Lol where?! Here in L.A. all the scenesters moved on, they just dropped the whole gimmick. Even the house parties are dead nowadays. My friends also moved on to just plain normal to indie... lately i've seen indies more here.. It's a fad now though it was on since i was 17! :O those were the days
isnt that alex evans? maybe i'm wrong but he is absolutely gorgeous. and he has his own clothing line
YES! That is Alex Evans, one of the few guys I absolutely loveee. Love. I mean, gosh, who wouldn't? But his hair is...different now. I liked it when it was like this.
