I was a member of my high school's GSA for three years and an officer for one. I and the other officers never accomplished much, but it certainly looked good on our college applications. I plan to get involved in my college's equivalent club when I get there.

I tried to start a GSA at my school my junior year, but it never happened. A lot of the gay, lesbian, and bisexual teens at my school, i guess, were not ready to come out just yet. My high school was very small so everyone wud eventually find out.

Yes! My school's GSA is full of weird and cooky people which makes it fun. And we get some pretty interesting people when we have events...

Tried starting a GSA at my school but didn't work out because everyone else backed out and I didn't want to be shouldering all the work myself.

Ugh i wish i had one, we tried having one, but the 'founding members' all ended up hating each other over a fight, i was one of them, so we couldn't bring it together to actually make it happen, sucks though, cause i wish i had some gay friends that i could talk to in real life, but luck of the draw i guess.

I feel pathetic saying this, but I'm too scared to join the one at my high school, even as an ally. However I am really excited to join one in college.

heh my school's GSA (S.A.G.E) is pretty similar. I'm not in it, but from what I've seen it's mostly the "strange" kids at school. One kid comes to school wearing pants with 1 leg cut off at the knee and the other full length... not really my crowd (although of the ones I've talked to they're all really cool people :icon_bigg).

On the flip-side though I do plan I joining the GSA at the college I go to (and maybe even the GLBT specific dorms depending on the situation).

    Never.

My school's club is loaded with awful people. I went twice, but I just couldn't stomach it.
