So my school got shut down today because of the Oak Glen fires. In case you didnt hear, theres an assload of fires happening in SoCal right now. Im not complaining but it smells like a hefty amount of ass. Im about....20 or so miles shy of the fire. I know of people getting evacuated so that sucks. So yeah.

I was just down there and was shocked that I couldn't see any fires, not could I smell them. Wierd.

I hope you stay safe! We've had some fires up here in NorCal, but it's never as bad as SoCal. (Yet another reason why we're better.)

I'm personally not near any fires. If any of the fires DID reach here however... we'd be screwed. We'd have to evacuate to Samoa, and even then, if the fires managed to cross the bay somehow, we'd be trapped. Being surrounded by mountains covered in trees on a coast isn't always the best.

I hope all those who are near fires are ok, and nothing gets damaged however

It sucks. I had a friends whose house burned down in the Tea fire and Jesusita fire. A part of my house burned down when the dryer blew up (obviously not a CA fire).

What makes me most angry about the fires are people not evacuating when they are told.
