I was stuck there for an hour and a half... and we don't have much traffic in Buffalo. When it came time for traffic to move, I saw one of the most horrific car accidents I had ever seen. I didn't know how anyone could have survived it. The next day, it was said that a 6 year old boy was brain-dead from injuries as a result of the accident. It was amazing to read how the people behind the cars in the crash came together to help save the victims. The article about the crash is worth a read. Life sometimes throws us crazy obstacles, and if one can ever find something positive from something tragic it's a blessing. This boys' organs were donated, and 12 people received tissues/organs from him. My mother went to the funeral.... she said it was the most powerful thing she had ever been too. At the end of the funeral the mother and father of the boy were married. I have never heard of anything like this before, and I was amazed by them. To turn such a mournful time into such a celebration just astounded me. I was touched by this story and just wanted to share. The following video clip is from CNN. The others are articles talking about the crash itself, and announcing his death. http://myprops.org/content/Funeral-turns-to-wedding/ Here is the article about the crash itself, and the wonderful people who helped get Asa out of the car. http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/785407.html Here is the article saying that he passed. http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregio...ry/786511.html http://www.wkbw.com/news/local/57650587.html I know this is sad, but I also think that it is beautiful. I also know that it isn't really related to anything on this forum, I just thought it was a nice story. |
