I wouldn't have a clue... I always thought it would be Canada because you can have gay marriages there.

My guess would be San Francisco. In Germany, it's Cologne. But Mannheim has Europe's largest gay disco, and I live here (!) . Those facts are unrelated. :icon_bigg

I heard of that before. And also I heard Sydney is very gay friendly city so I think Sydney is on the list too.

I would have said San Fransisco as well...

But Toronto is very gay friendly - thankfully.

Ya - Gay Marriage is legal here in Canada.

I know that Canada and Massachussetts both have gay marriages, so those are on the list.

  10. Yeah this whole state is pretty gay friendly thankfully. But provincetown would be the de facto "gay capital" of the state anyway since it has a large gay community. as far as the capital of the world goes Canada maybe since it is on a whole more gay friendly than most of America

If you took San Francisco, moved it North, oh say, 1000 miles, and placed the Stonewall Inn in the center of the Castro District, you'd have it.

So I guess the answer to that question is that there's no definitive Mecca of the Homo, just a bunch of places that could fill that role if need be.

But if you're looking for the world capital of all-out Liberalism, then that would be Amsterdam. Weed, abortions, and gay marriage for everyone!!!

Is Amsterdam the place where they eat hash brownies in Eurotrip?

Yes Amsterdam is ezjaxter. Have always believed that the gay capitals of the world had to either by san fran or key west (the second i was informed of but haven't seen for myself).

Just because a country or state has allowed gay marriages it doesn't exactly make it the gay capital of the world though. England for one allows for marriage of same sex partners.

They were trying to make Melbourne the gay capital of Australia, don't know if they're still at it though. A lot of people got peeved about it, probably all the people who are proud to live in the sporting capital of Australia decided that it couldn't be the gay captial at the same time. XP

It would be San Francisco for North America, Sydney for the South Pacific, and I have no clue for Europe. I'm gonna guess somewhere in South Africa for Africa and who knows for Russia/Asia/South Asia/East Asia.

Worldwide... hmmn... well I'll demonstrate my ethnocentrism and say San Francisco.

Well I guess it would determine on what indicators you were using to develop the rank for each location. It would also determine how large of an area you were donning as the capital, be it neighborhood, city, country, continent, or somewhere in between.

haha. well i guess there's no definition of the gay capital. but if i had to choose, i'd say san francisco. i went there for camp, but it was also pride week. so it was pretty sweet lookin around and seeing all the couples holding hands.
