| Well Known Regular Member   Gender: Male Orientation: Gay Posts: 104 Join Date: May 2009 |  Matthew Shepard Can anyone give links to articles or sites that writes a full, long biography of Matthew Shepard. Wikipedia doesn't give anything other than the most common things we all know. I was interested in learning about his entire life, like how he grew up, his sex life, how he dealt with his hardships and sufferings, how he fought for LGBT rights, etc. Anything would be appreciated. I know it's heart-wrenching to read about him, but I still would love to know as much about him as possible. May he rest in peace. Thanks in advance. His story is a very powerful and moving one, and he was a huge deal when it happen. It was everywhere and everyone seemed to know about him. But now it seems many people dont know his story, and i think its one worth knowing. A hate crimes law is currently trying to be passed in his name (did it pass? did it fail? i forget...) and his mother is a huge force in LGBT rights today. And like someone said, she just wrote a book about her son. There is a movie on youtube you can watch and he is talked about in an episode of Kathy Griffin called "Norma Gay" if your interested in that (good episode).
