People tend to be surprised when I tell them. Aside from my hair, I'm not that obvious, and there are a lot of straight guys here with long hair, so it doesn't count for much.

sometimes before i get to know anyone i dont say anything and it tends to lead anyone without a "gaydar" to think im straight and people with "gaydar" notice it immediately almost so lol

I'm the exact opposite. Everyone I've told has known I was gay since before I have.

This pretty much describes me, and yet I'm gay.. funny the way things work out, lol. The one person that I've come out to so far didn't suspect that I was gay at all.. when I told her I had something to tell her she thought I had some sort of terminal disease.

most people dont believe me. even gay people have to ask me while we're dancing, its happened. its so annoying. i wish i was a little more obvious.

... it shouldn't matter too much... you know the truth, and same with any person you decide to be intimate with. Other than that, Quite a few guys out there (myself included) would be happy with a guy who isn't flaming.

I don't know how people will react. I honestly don't think I act "gay" in any way. I'm a fashion train wreck, I know my way around the hardware store, and I can change a tire. But, still, I'm not the most masculine guy either--I like romance films, I don't drink, don't like sports...

...Still, in my opinion, we need more "heterosexual stereotypes" to offset the flamers to some extent. Show the ignorant that we're just as diverse as any other group.

And, as stratavos said, some of us would rather spend time with a non flamer.

that's not my issue. my issue is that a guy that i would like to decide to be intimate with can't tell. i wouldnt care if i had a boyfriend.

Everyone I meet assumes I'm straight, so it's always awkward when guys nudge me and say something about a hot girl. I'm thinking yeah she's nice to look at but that's it...

And not that it happens all the time, but getting come onto by girls is a bit awkward. This is a consequence of not being truly out though.
