Man created god. So people had more cash and power. So they created this unseen being so no one could argue against it. Then its went a wee bitty wrong.

Some people will disagree with that but that's their point of view and that's mine there.

Man created both God and science.

We don't know who created man yet (or rather, we don't know who created the first living organism if we view man as just one link in the evolutionary chain).

Ah yes.
I think my opinions on this have been made quite clear. It is clear to anyone who has studied any form of science that if a God designed the world, He did a shit job of it. I mean, what kind of designer would make an eye that is forced to have a blind spot due to the photoreceptors being placed backwards? A first year engineering student could come up with a better design that that!

And another thought: if God did in fact exist, I think that He wouldn't us to know that He did. I mean, everything in nature points towards a naturalistic world view (even if it takes us some time to discover the mechanisms). He certainly has done a good job of hiding any evidence. Maybe God doesn't want us to believe in Him. Maybe He wants us to think rationally and will only reward those who apply logic and reason in the afterlife. You know, it's like the opposite of Pascal's wager.

Oh, and when we die, we either rot in the ground, or sit in a pile of ashes on a mantel in an urn. At least that's my opinion.
