    S'up.

What do you like about the UK and why?
Equally, if you're more pessimistic, what do you dislike and find not so agreeable?

Well I find accents other than that of an Oxfordian to be quite odd. On the whole I like this accent. Another of my favourites is the sum'ur'se accent :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: it's just awesome.

    Uk is wonderful :
Uk has (in no specific order) pub, fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding, Lush, Boots even open at night, sheeps, beautiful dales in the north, Newcastle brown bear, the most beautiful Christmas Carols in the world, York's cathedral, a queen with the most epic hats, the BBC, the Beatles, Harry Potter, daffodils, wonderful church choirs, Muller rice and fruit corners, jeans with short legs for small women like me, the best indians restaurant, teas of all sorts....
Omg I miss living in UK so much !

    True !

And, I forgot blueberry muffins ! I'll die for a blueberry muffin.

And of course, I meant Newcastle Brown beer, not brown bear :bang::bang:, Brown Bear is the Eric Carle's book I am reading with my pupils.

We do seem to have a lot to be pleased with in these fair isles...

Especially the strange little English Traditions in places...

Cheese Rolling, Cooper's Hill, Brookworth in Goucestershire.
Tar-Barrel Racing Ottery St Mary, Devon
    Nettle Eating Contest Marsham, Dorset
    etc etc..

Then you got the strange Place Names.....

There is an Egypt in Wiltshire
    Brown Willy, in Cornwall
    Crapstone in Devon
    Twatt in Oakney
A Hill Called Lord Hereford's Knob in Herefordshire

Then you got the old Children's Games...
    Like Conkers

It Is Great to be English/British - You get away with being a little eccentric as well sometimes..
    (!)

I like the UK. We have the best comedians, fo' sho'. I mean, I like South Park and plenty of American sitcoms, but our actual comedians and comedy shows are the best

Cecile has mentioned a tonne of things, we are home to many great authors, playwrights, poets, war veterans, we still have a monarchy, tea is in abundance. Plus, I love confusing the yanks with Blighty slang. Old english pubs with real ale and cider. Wouldn't give that up for anything.

And my Brummie accent for the win
