Post a comment and vote on what your favourite season is and reasons why.

Mine would be spring: everything comes alive after a dreary cold, wet winter. (At least where I live). Baby animals are born, birds find mates, flowers bloom (I love liliacs and lilies), and I bascially start coming out of my winter funk due to more sunlight.

    Autumn, because everything's dying.

we don't really have any deciduous trees so that dying effect isn't quite the same.... i bet it must look pretty though!

summer! the season of cricket and sailing! and boxing day! Lots of swimming, heat, warm evenings, beers at the beach... Even mosquitoes have their place.

  4. I love spring. Snow is melting, streams are running, new life is budding, my birthday happens, and it just seems like the beginning of a new year. But I enjoy all the seasons. Spring just happens to be the one I enjoy the most.

Autumn. The heat from summer is fading, and that settles it - I hate the heat, so when it eases off I'm always happy.

Mine is Spring, I love coming into the warmth after winter (however I really hate hot weather :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) and I absolutely adore all the flowers that come up like daffodils and freesias.
Pity this year we basically had no spring. It's just gone winter , straight to summer.

I love summer... the warm weather is so much more preferrable to the cold winter. Plus summer vacations, no school, no work (substitute teacher -- no schools in session) is a great thing too! :icon_bigg

Autumn for its beautiful name. And a new beginning (well, in terms of education!), weather is getting nice (summer is unbearable here), and I just feel at peace.

    winter =D

    it's so cold and pretty.
    and there's snow.

  12. I love autumn because of the leaves changing, and because Halloween is my favorite holiday. Also because of the weather (when it's not being weird like this year, we usually have lots of really pleasant cool days) and my birthday is in November. And even though Christmas isn't in fall, I like that the 'season' starts around Thanksgiving, and the music on the radio.

Summer, because I love the warm weather and everyone is much happier when the sun is out!

I'm also a summer baby, birthday in June, so that's part of it too

No school. Christmas. New Years. My birthday.
You can do whatever you want every day and can eat as much ice-cream as you want.

Spring. All the snow is gone and it's the temperature that I would love to have year-round.

    I HATE THE HEAT!

    My fave season is Fall.
Because the best fashion is out. I can't dress in the summer for shit! I look horrible in the summer!

I love the fall because its not boiling like the summer and not freezing like the winter.

Winter. I think snow is one of the most beautiful things on the earth, both when it is falling and when it is on the ground. Shoveling is just the price be pay to be blessed with such beauty. I also much prefer cold to warm. A perfect warm day is nice, but if it is a really a hot day, there is nothing you can do to cool off. When you are down to walking around in your underwear/sleeping with no blankets, there is nothing you can do to cool off further. (I grew up in a house with no AC.) When it is cold, you can just put on another layer of clothing/another blanket/etc. I'm also an indoor person, so winter gives me an excuse to stay inside.

It's generally a toss up between fall and winter, but in this case I choose winter. I love winter for a variety of reasons, some of which are:

The weather is perfect for snuggling under the covers.
Hot coco, need I say more?
    Christmas!
Wearing sweaters is not only seen as normal, it's encouraged.
Sitting, my feet curled up underneath me on the couch with my cat on my lap and a good book.
    Snow.
    Icicles hanging outside the windows.
    My birthday is in January.

Autumn. It's the end of the scorching Summer (though this autumn has been very warm most of the time), the leaves are beautiful, it's cold enough for a light sweater but still warm enough for a t-shirt and maybe shorts, people aren't as rowdy as they are in the summer, there isn't as much of a social push to be out and about like in the summer, Halloween and Thanksgivings, and the general feel of mellow, kinda nostalgic feel I get whenever Autmn comes around makes me love this season.
