I don't think that there are any here... but I'll ask anyways.

I need as much information about moral judgments (according to Kant) as possible. I have to write this paper and I HAVE NO IDEA... d**n philosophy, it's mandatory in Uruguay and I hate it above all else, lol.

Stupid compulsory subjects. I can't help you on Kant cos all I was forced to study was Confucious and Dhaoism. I'm no longer studying philosophy in that subject anymore, it's turned into more of a psychology/sociology subject. I'm actually having to stay home from uni today just to get work done for it. I'm skipping my MAJORS to do this shitty little side subject!

    /rant.

Good luck with finding what you need XS

Then you should study more... Immanuel Kant's ideas had a lasting impact on modern philosophy.

  7. Hm...I personally favor Nietzsche's way of thought.
Someone who jokingly likens truth to women deserves some amount of praise from me.

But eternal recurrence is something that's still vague in my mind.

If man makes himself a worm he must not complain when he is trodden on.

    Immanuel Kant

basically jayden, a philospher is someone who looks in to the deep meaning of things and over analyses them.

For example... as we really alive, do we have a real existence, or are we really just brains in a jar... being stimulated to think we're in a real world... when really this is all in our imagination. OK that's very matrix for you... but you get what i mean.

It also looks in to whether things are intrinsically (by definition) right or wrong. Is it wrong to kill??? YES - then surely euthanasia is completely unfounded, as is abortion and if you were hiding from the NAZIs and one person from your group was going to compromise the group through crying. Would it be wrong to sacrifice?

If I remember rightly wasn't Kant the man who had a butler and went for long walks every day with his butler and umbrella. He believed that we were all aiming to achieve the summon bonnum and that through life we should do things through Christian charity and not through any personal gain motivation. E.g. I don't do something just because I like it, or because it makes me feel good. I do it because I know it should be done and helps others. Think that's it... oh memories.
