At my school this week, it's 'spirit week'. On the Friday of spirit week (today) all the clubs go out into the school and decorate a hallway, so that Monday, the school looks all spiffy and sweet.

I just got home an hour ago from decorating. We didn't do much, we only had three people. Our G.S.A. is tiny. But we got a hall. And of course they give the smallest club the biggest hall.
But, anyway. I wanted to show you guys. :3

Our hall was really simple, but I just love how we got that hazy rainbow glow on everything in the hall.

I think that is something that should stay up after spirit week. the message is something that transcends just gay issues.

plus, the colored films on the lights is a cool touch.

It's actually just tissue paper.
We did one layer of it in every color of the rainbow.
There were 20 lights, so we got almost three complete rainbows.

I'm so pissed.
They made us take down all the tissue paper.
They said it was a fire hazard which is bullshit.
They're florescent lights covered by a thick sheet of plastic.
They DON'T GET HOT.
They let us have things on the lights last year, and all of a sudden, no?

Thanks for telling us that beforehand.
You know, before I spent three fucking hours hanging it.
