Default Hair

Just a thought that crossed my mind.

Does hair on someone affect how attracted to them you are? (Not hair on the legs, below the belt area) but I mean on their head.

Do you have a type of person you're attracted to? ie: Are you attracted to either a woman or male based on their hair? Or is their hair/hairstyle not a factor?

Just wanted to hear some interesting thoughts.

Hmm. Hair does actually make a bit of a difference! I mean, personally, it's rarely gonna be a deal breaker, unless you are sporting a mullet or other such crimes against nature.

But, yeah, short hair on a lady really does it for me for some reason. I guess it's because short hair is normally more of a queer thing, something in my head goes "Short hair = maybe interested"? (Though I totally had the hots for Winona Ryder in Girl, Interrupted, with her loverly short 'do, before I knew much about being queer, let alone queer culture.) Though I've always found androgyny hot as hell (most of my boy-crushes were on effeminate guys with longer hair), so maybe that's part of it.

I mean, I love a lady with lovely long hair. But for some reason, take that same lady, and take a few inches off her hair? She's even more rrrrawr ;3

I dunno what it is, though!

Mmm yes, androgyny mmmm. I don't know if I'd have the guts to pull it off 100% of the time but I'm silently wondering whether i should grow long hair again or keep it as is. I like to look at least "a little gay" and not like some straight girl. That's annoying... >.o

Hair makes a lot of difference imo. if she has a clown-like afro, I'll probably be like: ...no. But if she has nice hair [short or long i like both] i'll probably be a little more attracted to her.

Androgyny <3

But oh man, yeah. It seems like if you don't want to pass unnoticed by everyone's gaydar and you want long hair, you need to plaster yourself in rainbows. And, don't get me wrong, I likes rainbows, but dangit, haha.

uhm yes..

i like certain hair styles more than others in a general sense..the shaggy/messy medium long hair is one of my favorites, but the short clean cut hairstyles look really good on some people.

its mostly about color for me. i like natural hair color. highlights are ok, i don't mind that usually because it just makes it look like you go out in the sun if it's done right, but it bugs me when people change their hair color.

Yes, it makes a huge difference. I like (both on me and in general) what others consider too common or boring: shortish and plain.

That means: not emo, punkish, with loads of gel, or exotic in any way.

Ohmigawd yes. I cannot date someone with no hair or too much hair. I define too much hair as having it hide your entire neck. It simply does not look good, in my opinion (no offense to people who have it this way >> ). I also don't dig the curly look. It doesn't have to be perfect and neat, but I don't like mohawks either.

But pretty much, when I look at someone, the first thing I notice is his hair. If it's cute, then it leaves a very good impression on me.

Yep. A guy's hair is one of the first things that I notice. I usually like guys with longer hair and I hardly ever am attracted to guys with buzzed hair, but there are exceptions

Given that hair style and length contributes very much to how you see someone's face shape, I'd say that it's definitely an important contributing factor to the first impression.

I think I can proudly admit to having a bit of a hair fetish, haha. It's the first thing I notice about someone.

I particularly like androgynous-looking hair on women, but someone with long, shiny hair will make me swoon, too. I love thick, curly hair. And it's weird -- I fall for almost exclusively brunettes and redheads, but I'm really pretty neutral toward blond hair.

Although hair isn't a deal-breaker for me, whether I find a guy cute is, without a doubt, affected by his hair. I love long hair on guys; the longer, the better. As long as it is well-kept, it doesn't matter whether it is straight or wavy, blond or brown, I'll turn my head and stare. That's why my own hair is long, and why I hope to make it longer; I just love long hair on guys. The one thing I can't stand is when a guy keeps his long hair in a ponytail; hair needs to be allowed to be free! To fly in the wind, unchained by the horror that is the hair-tie!

I think it matters just as much as any other single feature. I don't think style matters so much, but it has to fit them, you know? Like, not look awkward.

Plus, I have total hair envy. If a guy is rockin a sweet style, that makes him all the more interesting.

Brown hair.
I have never been attracted to anyone who doesn't have brown or black hair. But mainly brown.
It's weird. Like I don't consciously think about it, but was looking back over everyone I've ever liked to see if I have a 'type' and realised the only thing they had in common was brown hair.

I've always been partial to brunettes, too. Though I've noticed that what really makes the difference for me is having darker eyebrows! Though it may be because my hair has only recently gotten darker naturally, and for the first 20 or so years of my life, I had blonde invisi-brows. >.> I'm pleased they've darkened, so I can actually have an expression from a distance, haha. =P

hair matters, but not really that much. i mean, if its blue or purple or pink or green its kinda a turn off, or in like a Mohawk or stuff like that. but clean cut or skater or whatever cut doesn't really matter.

oh, and bald guys are not really that good looking to me. i mean, i'm sure they are good people, its just, idk, i've never been in their situation i guess.

I am literally the only queer girl I know who isn't primarily attracted to androgynous girls I've considered going for an androgynous haircut for that reason, but my face is too round to get away with it. I have a thing for curly hair, actually.
