What are your methods of stayinmg positive (even if your life is hectic and depressing at times)?

---

I:
-collect calenders (with positive aphorisms and quotes against beautiful backgrounds)

-laugh several times a day by watching funny videos on youtube or hanging out with friends
-surround myself with positive, supportive people
-set goals for myself to strive for (like becoming a published author soon)
-read/write
-sketch
-do photography
-go into nature and just listen..

I listen to my positive musique playlist.
I take a shower with a nice shower gel and wash my hair (wich often give me the feeling to wash my brain in the same time).
I hug my husband.
I call my best friend who always find a way to help me take some distance with the current situation
and last but not least, I come to Ec chat and often find one of my Ec buddies to cheer me up.

I try to stay positive by finding happiness and laughter in whatever happens. What good will worrying do? Don't resist the stressful and negative situations; simply change their course. Things I thought were major challenges in the past are laughable now, so why not just face new challenges with positivity when they happen?

Of course, singing badly and dancing like an idiot are always great... I only do that when I'm certain that nobody will see or hear me, though.

I try to turn everything in to a joke. I make fun of everything that goes wrong. I do it all the time, so it's always the first thing I try if I'm feeling down.

I also collect inspiring messages and quotes. I have an entire folder of them on my laptop that I glance through when I'm starting to feel depressed.

When all else fails, I blog about it. I write it all down, and then read it all back through and it seems to resolve itself.

I usually just try to look for the good in every situation, even if optimism isn't exactly my forte. There's always a silver lining to any situation, even if we need to look really hard to find it. When that doesn't happen, playing World of Warcraft or Rock Band usually makes me happy.

That too, but usually youtube videos instead of hanging out with friends; such is the preference of an introvert.

i tend to listen to my music if im depressed. also i like to get away from it all in the car. a trip to somewhere nice like oban is great!! open sea and islands, its great.

How do I stay positive? By being my normal abysmally pessimistic self. Then, when things don't come crashing down on me in a heap of flame, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Awesomesauce. That is all. I do pretty much the same. Also, I dance around my apartment like a knob or go for a swim or snuggle my kitteh.
