New England Blizzard of '09

Right now a rather big Nor'easter (storm coming up the Northeast Coast) is battering Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

I thought a thread dedicated to posting photos of it as it transcends into a blizzard, and then the aftermath would be cool.

Right now the storm is about 1/8 of the way done for me. We have about 5 inches right now. I'm attaching a pic of our backyard (it's 2:36am so it's a bit dark). I'm at my mom's house in Metro-west Boston.

The total for my area is *supposed* to be 10-15 inches. Not the biggest storm, but still pretty large.

I'll add another pic in the morning when visibility is better.

Oh, here's a map of New England's charted accumulation:

    For those who use CM:

    2-4inches = 5-10cm
    4-7inches = 10-18cm
    7-10inches = 18-25.5cm
    10-15inches = 25.5-38cm
    15-20inches = 38-51cm

The snow is ridiculous here... I woke up to shovel, and now i'm going to freakin work, because they decided they'd have customers today. Its bullshit.

    Wow, that's impressive.

Even an ocean away, the snow is pretty bad. I'm knee-deep in snow, and basically locked in, because no one here knows how to handle these amounts of snow anymore and the roads are all blocked...
I don't think I ever saw anything like it happen here.

Yeah its knee deep here too, but no one cares apparently. xD I'll try to take pictures if I can. My car was freakin buried though because of the drift, and I had to get it out completely because Sears thinks we'll have customers.

    Yey Snow
I wish it had snowed more here to be honest.
In Boston a few days ago the wind chill made it feel like -9F.
