As the title states, which part of the U.S. do you live in? How is it where you live? Exciting? Boring? Extravagant? Simple? Populous? Deserted? Busy? Slow? Hot 24/7? Cold 24/7?

What happened to "East" in this poll?

    Southeast...Northeast...or just plan East?

I live in New England...which is Northeast...

West... at least I guess that's what Nevada would be considered.

There're technically only 4 U.S. Census regions: North, South, Midwest, and West. I wasn't sure if to include the others, so I narrowed it down to these 4 plus the Southwest.

biisme, wouldn't the East be everything east of the Mississippi River aka the North and the South?

Exciting? Boring? a crazy kind of exciting i guess
Extravagant? Simple? both depending on how close you are to the major cities
    Populous? Deserted? very populous!
Busy? Slow? busy and FAST. the speed limit is considered 'slow'
    Hot 24/7? Cold 24/7? um....inbetween i guess.

    Southwest.

I <3 the southwest desert of Arizona!

  10. Courtneyyy- I'm so jealous. My grandparents have a house in Aizona and I get to gonout once or twice a year, and it's my favorite place to be!

I'm from the Midwest, where it's boring and we have over a foot of snow piled up.

Whoops, I accidentally clicked "North." Couldn't be further from the truth.

I live in the suburbs of Georgia about half an hour outside of Atlanta. I like to say that I live right in the buckle of the Bible Belt. But there's a HUGE difference between the social climate of the suburbs/more rural areas and the actual city.

It's not entirely interesting. I mean, Atlanta is interesting when I go there, but the suburbs around it are pretty damn boring, haha. In Atlanta it's VERY busy (traffic is absolutely insane and it can take an hour to get somewhere that's 8 miles away). It gets REALLY hot here in the summers, around 90 F every day, and snows very rarely in the winter (maybe once or twice a year, and even then it's usually not more than half an inch).

But yeah, I'd rather live somewhere else, to be honest. There's too many deer-shooting, beer-guzzling gun-toting rednecks around here for my taste.

Wait a minute, I just realized I typed out this whole reply to a thread created by someone who also lives in Georgia. Haha, I guess you already knew all that, huh?

NYC is in the north east.

I'm from the northeast but that didnt seem to be an option... Where's the love OP? where's the love?

    ----------

Well thats pretty dumb because Florida would be considered east because it's on the east coast, and it is very much different from Massachusetts weather and culture wise...

    I live in Texas.

But Texas is really the only "South" state. Georgia, Mississippi, Lousiana, etc. are Southeast, so... just saying.

    The Regions are as follows

Northeast- Which divides into New England (MA,ME,NH,VE,RI,CT) and Mid-Atlantic (NY,PN,NJ,MD*,DE*,DC*,VA*,WV*)

Midwest- Which divides into East North Central (WI,MI,IL,IN,OH) and West North Central (MO,ND,SD,NE,KA,MN,IA)

South- Which divides into South Atlantic (MD*,DE*,DC*,VA*,WV*,NC,SC,GA,FL), East South Central (KY,TN,MS,AL) and West South Central (OK,TX,AR,LA)

West- Which divides into Mountain (ID,MT,WY,NV,UT,CO,AZ,NM) and Pacific (AK,CA,OR,WA)

I also think all the subregions are very important. I mean I don't really know the other ones that well(so correct me if I misplaced a state), but I sure as hell Know New England vs Mid-Atlantic cause I live in the area.

*These states are sometimes put in different ones, but I'd call them Mid-Atlantic.
