I'm voting no, but I think if the social scene was different and it was actually dangerous for me to be out, I would probably take it. Luckily we're getting past that era in the US, if not elsewhere.

At least in my mind. Being gay has thought me a lot of things, among others how to deal with myself and getting to know myself better. Also, my boyfriend is gay. And he's the nicest person ever. If I hadn't been gay, then I'd never have met him. And then of course, as Ben said, no EC!

Being happy about being different and an individual, now that I'm guessing will be amazing. It seems like so many people lead quiet lives, tip-toeing through life to arrive at death. Being gay is challenging me to live out loud as an individual, although I'm a long way from it. Being "oppressed" by this secret has helped to make me a better person. |

I personally love being gay. Realizing I was gay was really difficult at first, but once I came out, everything in my life kind of clicked into place.
