If there was a ''cure'' for homosexuality like for the mutant gene-would you take it?

I know there is a thread titled 'X-men to homosexuality' ..but I decided to throw a poll up to see how everyone stands on their feelings about this subject. Keep in mind I am not doing this to make anyone mad, upset.. it's just a poll.. post afterwards if you wish..you don't have to. No names will be listed on the results.

I'm voting no, but I think if the social scene was different and it was actually dangerous for me to be out, I would probably take it. Luckily we're getting past that era in the US, if not elsewhere.

Hell no! I’m looking forward to letting the real me out. I sure wouldn’t want to cover it up with some drug and more lies. Because even if it worked it would still be a lie and I’m done with that.

    No, never, not at all!

Being gay is awesome. At least in my mind.

Being gay has thought me a lot of things, among others how to deal with myself and getting to know myself better.

Also, my boyfriend is gay. And he's the nicest person ever. If I hadn't been gay, then I'd never have met him.

And then of course, as Ben said, no EC!

Pffft. I like my posters of hot ladies where they are, thanks.

If there were a magic "make me pansexual" pill, though, I'd definitely have to consider it. =P

Being gay and in the closet sucks, worst feeling in the world.

Being straight, I'm sure is good.

Being happy about being different and an individual, now that I'm guessing will be amazing.

It seems like so many people lead quiet lives, tip-toeing through life to arrive at death. Being gay is challenging me to live out loud as an individual, although I'm a long way from it.

Being "oppressed" by this secret has helped to make me a better person.

    I'll answer semi-seriously now.

If there was a magic pill that would make me a straight female, I wouldn't go through with it. that's not who I am, and even if it was 'right', I'd still know what was before, and it's a loss really.

I personally love being gay. Realizing I was gay was really difficult at first, but once I came out, everything in my life kind of clicked into place. I've realized that I'm now happier and more confident than I've ever been before. And that's not something I'd ever want to give up.
