Are you watching? It's one of the biggest events in tennis, a grand slam tournament.

I'm rooting for Nadal :icon_bigg Who are you rooting for?

Well, Roger is fun to watch - but I think he just knows that he's going to win. I feel like he has that whole pompous attitude going on. Also - Novak, aside from being awesome, he's drop dead gorgeous!!! hmm... I think this deserves a trip to the hot guy thread...

I have high hopes for Tsonga, now that Del Potro was eliminated.

I said I like Nadal, but I also really like Verdasco. Too bad he lost the match against Davydenko, but he is a really good player. Verdasco was just unlucky with the draw.

Not to give anything away....but

Yeah, I like the way Roger Federer plays. He has some amazing shots. But you are right about him having a pompous attitude. I guess the success is getting a bit to him.

Nadal is out! Had to retire injured from his match with Murray. Murray was out-playing him anyway

    C'mon Andy!!! (!)

Murray was 3-0 up in the third set, with a 2-0 lead in sets, so yeah, injury or not, Murray had that in the bag.

So, it looks like Murray vs Cilic in the semi, with Tsonga to play Djokovic and Federer to play Davydenko.

How do we reckon this'll go?

I guess Murray on the men's and on the women's I would like to see Venus win. Although it would be cool for one of the Chinese players to win the slam, seeing how that has never happened.

Federer v Davydenko could be interesting. On form Roger should win - but Davydenko now knows he can beat him. Nikolay is always unpredictable.

I would love to see Tsonga beat Djokovic again (since he lost the final to him he is 4-2 in front). I love the power and the passion of the guy. I don't think I shall ever forget his semifinal demolition of Nadal, when he was still an unseeded player. If he plays like that he could beat anyone.

Cilic is where I though Del Potro would be. Similar players tho Cilic has had less big match experience. Cilic may also be tired and Murray has played himself into seemingly superb form through the tournament.

The final - I don't know. I would tend to think Federer v Murray tho' I would like to see Tsonga there too. I like all three, so it would be hard for me to know who to cheer for.

For the women, I'd be surprised if it weren't Serena v Justine. Questions then are - is Justine back to her best (and fully match fit) and is Serena's 'injury' a possible problem? I tend to think Serena will be too strong, but who knows?

Should be some outstanding tennis still to come tho'. :icon_bigg

Uber Allez Roger!!!! He is clearly the best ever, and when it comes down to it I just want to see great tennis and the best person win, 9 out of 10 times that is Roger!

On the womans side I want to see Serena win, she is amazing! but if not her I would like to see Venus win, they are the only two in the womans game who are even worth the mention. They have it all!

I think they are great match-ups because each of these matches are in some ways unpredictable. I mean Federer has lost to plenty of other players, and as you said, Davydenko is unpredictable. I would like to see Djokovic win the Australian Open though.

On the women side, I'm impressed with the Chinese players. I'm disappointed with Kim Clijsters performance. I thought she would do better given her impressive win at the US Open.

    So, Tsonga-Federer, and Murray-Cilic.

Hopefully Murray will overcome Cilic, and then he'll get beat by Federer in the final. Hahaha

i really really reallyyyy hope murray wins the whole thing.

It would be so good to see a british player actually win a grandslam! He's the player in form, but ive learnt to expect failure from british sportsmen lol...its the best way, otherwise you just get disappointed :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
