I've always wondered what this meant. Anyone shed some light on it? =]

It is definitely the traditional chinese character for tiger. No mistaking it.

It is both the Chinese and Japanese character for tora, meaning Tiger. As the others said. The current Chinese character for Tiger is probably a simplified version so the one you have shown would be the traditional one, OR current Japanese character.

    OMG, it's Tora?

1.) I am obsessed with tigers. I've got about 12 posters on my wall. I own about 10 plushies. I've got calendars, canvasses, I've adopted a tiger through Born Free, everything.

2.) That's the name of my best friend's cat. I insisted ^.^ Never knew the Japanese spelling of it though.

Thank you all, that's put me in a really great mood =D

It means "this keyboard cover is too small".

Yes, as all others have pointed out, it's "tora" - tiger.

My mother has an antique painting, of the 12 animal spirits with their symbols written in traditional chinese. That is how I picked up on it.
