Age: 20 Posts: 654 Join Date: May 2009 | It is both the Chinese and Japanese character for tora, meaning Tiger. As the others said. The current Chinese character for Tiger is probably a simplified version so the one you have shown would be the traditional one, OR current Japanese character.

I am obsessed with tigers. I've got about 12 posters on my wall. I own about 10 plushies. I've got calendars, canvasses, I've adopted a tiger through Born Free, everything. 2.) That's the name of my best friend's cat. I insisted ^.^ Never knew the Japanese spelling of it though. Thank you all, that's put me in a really great mood =D

That is how I picked up on it.
